Please take a couple of minutes to check the expiry date on your photo card bit of your licence.
It seems the DVLA don’t warn you BEFORE it expires, waiting instead until afterwards then going straight for the shitty letter. It’s also impossible to renew on their site in my experience, requiring a trip to the post office. I’m not sure if this is due to the current one now being out of date or if it’s just a standard...
Bloody DVLA - and that’s without a chomp about it costing to renew it every few years. We didn’t have this shit with a paper version...

Few years. more like every 10, also, it's a doddle online, especially if you have a current passport, they will even use the same photo as your passport, so, no need to upload anything.

This is why whenever work want to take a photocopy of my precious paper licence, I stand over them shouting out 'be careful you cack handed bastard' over and over again, till I can put it back in its nice polythene protective sleeve.

In my case that’s more true than you realise.

I had no reminder, equally it won’t let me do it on line.
Not sure what the relevance of Brexit is, but there you go...

Similar things with V5's.. Border officials bend and crease and dog ear it all the time so that it almost splits into it's seperate sections on it's own when I get it back.

Also, more annoying if you live in wales and get the stupid extra big V5 that has an extra page to accomodate the language.. even more likely to fall apart. Evil or Very Mad

Remember kids, bikes aren't like lego. You can't easily take a part from one bike and then fit it to another.

Vote Leave UK.

Immigrate to Scotland before it's too late and they close the border.

Me too. Just did the renewal online. They were happy to use my passport photo and signature that they hold electronically, but did sting me for £14.
