I've put this in General Bike Chat as it might benefit bikes, in the long term.

And yes, I know Clarkson is a bike hating Nazi, but the concept has the right idea! Wink

Any ideas as to where to start??! After all, most traffic problems could be sorted by actually listening to the people using them, not the tossers developing the legislation! Laughing

I agree that sounds a great idea... clarkson may be anti-bike, but he has been around the world, seen lots of traffic systems and does know what he's on about.. I doubt very much he'd do anything bad for bikes anyway!!! At least he accepts people do want to ride them etc...

I'm all for it Thumbs Up as long as it doesn't end up some anti-bike thingy, if worst happens can always go back to how it was before anyway...

I'd imagine a smaller town would work better.. jumping straight into london etc just wouldn't work IMO...

/me votes for lincoln. Main road in the city centre is blocked for >50% of the time by a level crossing, pulling the rest of the city centre to a stand still on most days.
Good idea, but will something actually happen?

Don't think this would work in a tourist area as too many visitors getting confused with new signs/rules will increase the likelihood of accidents.

Luton!

The town planners are complete idiots.
They've used everything imaginable on the roads. (Bus routes, cycle routes, one way systems, smaller roundabouts??, huge speed bumps, cutting off the entire centre from cars)
Unfortunatelly all of them in the wrong places. Rolling Eyes
