Hello, I am the proud owner of a 1984 GPZ900. As a matter of fact have 2, but I butchered one to restore the other.
The problem is that I had an accident the other day, with as a consequence that the exhaust needs replacing.
Unfortunately, the exhaust is not the original one.
I was inclined to buy a new standard exhaust, until I found out that the price is higher then the value of my bike, and since the insurance won't accept that... I need to replace the one on the bike.
I think, but nobody seems to be able to confirm, that it belongs to a ZX7R (98YM). The homologation number on the exhaust reads: KHI K 409. KAWASAKI UK was not able to help me on confirming which model and YM uses this exhaust.
Anybody out there with more in depth knowledge?
Cheers

The exhausts on the zx7r's are all the same (because they never changed the bike), i've got a 2001 model and the code on the exhaust is KH1 K 350, now i don't know if that number would change with year model or not??

Another thing you could try (if your feeling cheeky) is to phone someone up who's selling a 98YM zx7 and see if they'd mind checking there can for you!
