Dumb question maybe but are all/most exhaust slip-ons end cans universal?

I really want a Yoshimura RS-3 slip-on end can for my 2014 FZ1 Fazer but can't find anything on eBay or sportsbikeshop.co.uk that specifically lists that exhaust for my bike. Will any slip-on fit any bike (within reason)? Or are they all bike-specific?

Pipe size, location and mounting bracket position.
Gasflow depends on what the Pipe is rated for.
I'd guess not universal more like similar purpose.

Ok sounds like it could go horribly wrong, given my limited knowledge, as I was planning on getting the rest of the system from Black Widow but asking them to leave out the end can as I would be looking to use a Yoshimura one. Sounds like bodging an end can on a full system it's not designed for could be a bad idea. Will probably just get the whole system from Black Widow :-/

Thanks for the reply!

I did already but it's the weekend so obviously haven't had a response yet.

But actually thinking about it, although I can't find an RS-3 that specifically says it's for an FZ1, I have managed to find a Tri-oval that is listed as specific for my bike so that would be my second choice:

Although the end can alone is £100 more than a whole system from Black Widow!

Scorpion also do nice slip ons, worth a look.

Full system is also going to want a remap/power commander.

If you are just after aesthetics + sound. Id prob just go with a end can, and you can pull the CAT out once you remove the muffler.

Thanks mate! Yeah I've found a place not too far from me who are Dynojet dealers so will take it to them after I get the air filter and exhaust done. Reason I like the Yoshimura I know it sounds daft but I'd like to keep it kinda Japanese theme (yeah I know Yoshimura is now just an American company with a Japanese name LOL).

Some people like the carbon look and short exhausts etc. but I just love the look of long all-stainless exhausts. Probably quite boring to most people but I like 'em.

TBH due to cost will probably just get a Black Widow full system to start with and if I feel like treating myself in the future maybe replace the end can with the Yoshimura one.

Do you think the power commander would need re-tweaking after changing the end can from the Black Widow one to the Yoshi one?
