How to adjust indicator button? street triple

Hi,

How do I adjust the position of the indicator button on a 2019 Triumph Street Triple?

It's just way to high and really hard to get to with winter gloves on. And the headlight switch? forget it, I have to lift my hand off the grip to get to that.

I tried removing the visible screws to no avail. It just removed the back plastic. I removed the next set of screws and that released the front plastic. I couldn't see any more screws. I tried brute force but it wouldn't budge. I didn't REALLY want to go for it as I didn't want to break it.

I just don't bother indicating now!!

Previous bikes - Kawasaki z750s and Suzuki sv650 - no issues with indicator.

There is quite often a pin to locate the switch gear to the handlebar.

Maybe you just hold your hand in the wrong place.

What plastic? My switchgear has metal casings.

Are the bars rotated too far forwards in the clamps on the triples?

You don't. The switchcubes are clipped onto a little doo-hicky that's pinned in place on the handlebars.

I never had a problem on my STR. As Alex says, maybe the bars need rotating.

Here you go, take your time. Worked nice on my Zx6r, I cut a few coils off the spring to make the switch a little softer to use as well.

Thanks @McJamweasel that appears to be the case. I guess I'll have to adjust the handlebar instead, even though I'm happy with it's position
