I’m having a hard time getting my trx 300 running. I can’t get it to spark. Does anyone have one of these that knows what the stator output voltage should be when cranking ? I’m getting 6 vac which seems low. I can’t find any info on the net about it.

You shouldn't need the stator to start it. Whats the voltage on the battery?

Battery is new. It’s a late 80s early 90s model if that helps.

Have you come on here for advice?
What safety cut out switches has this bike which can kill the spark?

I’ve narrowed it down to either the cdi or the stator. I can’t really test the cdi. I have been over the wiring thoroughly and everything checks out. All switches and sensors are ok. I was hoping someone had one and could tell me the cranking output voltage of the stator so I can rule that out. The stator resistance is good but 6v output seems too low.
