Alt berg boots. Rub leidergris in by hand after each run. If they're damp, I do it just before they are properly dry.

Keeps the leather supple so my super-comfy, custom-made boots last as long as possible.

My favourite leidergris is lundhags. Very high quality stuff and smells like woodsmoke (I think it has birch or pine tar in it). Couldn't get it last time so using redback instead.

I use Ducks Wax on all of my leather boots. It's good for the leather, it sheds water and it smells nice.

On the very rare occasion that I think my boots need a clean, I brush off the dirt with a clean dry stiff brush.
I then look under the kitchen sink for whatever footwear cleaning stuff we have and use that.
It seems to work, sort of , the last pair of boots I had before my nice new ones, lasted about 7 years.

But I don’t ride in the winter on nasty salt laden wet roads, (fair weather rider).

Give em an occasional wipe and wax, (Alpinestars Coroza, using Graingers G-Wax) but I ride all year, you kinda have to.

I have Altbergs and use Leder Gris, I don't think it needs applying after every ride but I do it periodically.

*mystified*

I can't get boots to fit.
Those clips on long boots pinch my fat calves and I can't get them closed.

A mate tried to talk me into some German Army boots but they are too clumpy for me, even with DMs I walk like a baby elephant.

Somewhere I think I have some steelies which are also a bit heavy, but they serve the purpose when required, except everyone grouches at me because Toecutters.

I've never polished mine and they've done really well - they don't get many proper soakings mind you. But I do ride all winter, and they've got over 50k on them. I paid 80 quid for them and have had them resoled once. They're a generic pair that can be found 'badged' with various brands but they're essentially these:

https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/RICHA-ADVENTURE-OFF-ROAD-MX-ROAD-CROSS-LEATHER-WATERPROOF-MOTORBIKE-BOOTS-GIFT/152173273223?hash=item236e3be087:m:mou_4Iy34xxMBRFQLeshaMQ

I don't like the grippy sole and have had it replaced it with a much smoother one so that the tread doesn't catch on the brake and gear selectors.

Every now and again the wife goes "look at the state of your boots!" and they appear cleaned soon after. I think it's the same fairy that replenishes the beer in the fridge.

+1 for Duckswax being utterly brilliant for motorcycle boots Thumbs Up

It's definitely the best smelling Very Happy leather food, and the best for boosting water resistance too.

Leder-Gris or dubbin. Both work.
Both are mainly wax based with some oil to 'feed the leather'.

The dubbin tends to build up a layer and attract grit a bit more. No mither if you rinse the boots and reapply.

Dubbin is cheaper.
