So I've got smart bulbs pretty much everywhere downstairs voice controlled through an Echo Plus. Only downside is that you have to leave the lightswitch on full time for them to receive power.... Anyone got recommendations for a light switch that keeps power to the bulbs at all times but can control the bulbs without a dedicated Hue bridge? Would rather not just add a regular smart wall switch that cuts power to the bulbs if possible.

If they're Hue compatible bulbs can't you just use a Hue remote switch?

I have one mounted (double sided sticky) to the door frame of my office.

You can also get covers that go over existing light switches and hold the Hue remotes (bit bulky though)

Already looked at that, but you need a dedicated Hue bridge for it Sad

Might just have to fork out for one.

Plenty on ebay

Once you have that you can use the motion sensors.

I have a couple on the landing so that when I approach the stairs or leave a bedroom the landing light comes on.

Also one for the downstairs loo

And one in the garage that switches all the lights in the house on if movement is detected and has Alexa pipe up with a message (my garage was broken into a couple of times last year).

The motion sensors also have temperature sensors built in so you could use IFTTT for turning heaters on etc.
