Last night's Panorama was terribly sad, if not at all surprising: https://www.bbc.co.uk/news/newsbeat-52440641

From essential equipment not being bought despite 10 years worth of warnings to what little there was disappearing without a trace - truly an "apparent success" 🤦‍♂️

Sorry to piss on your bonfire. It’s also been revealed that all the people interviewed were Labour activists prior to the pandemic.

It's funny how the bbc and the media in general are full of left wingers despite at least 7 years of tory leadership and Murdock having a stranglehold on the papers in this country.

I truly hate to side with bnp72 (a stopped clock is correct just twice a day) but I do think the majority and most vocal MSM are left wing and intent on criticising every government decision. The way the NHS has coped with this pandemic makes me wonder whether all the talk of "Winter crises" is drummed up. My fortunately limited experience of the NHS suggests that they're not as pressured as they portray. Don't get me wrong, I'm a big fan of the NHS, but I wonder if it is being used by politicos intent on either criticising the government or delivering it into the hands of the likes of Richard Branson.

How many military personnel do you think have been mobilised? I personally know group captain who isnt even medically trained who said hes expecting to be governor of a prison, not because he has any experience of being one but because he's used to commanding subordinates who will be the prison guards and it would take a co to keep ncos and squaddies in check.

Tell me. Apparently there was a vast warehouse located in the NW stocked with PPEs ready for the pandemic but the problem was in distribution, hence the army were brought in. It also explains why companies have complained that they've produced thousands of PPEs but can't get rid of them. It's a shortage of distribution.

What happened to the previous prison governor?

He was expecting that half the guards would be ill and had been replaced by squadies.

They aren't used to being guards of prisoners and can be....... robust.

They would need a strong co.

Back in 2017 austerity was being linked to an extra 120000 deaths. https://www.bmj.com/company/newsroom/health-and-social-care-spending-cuts-linked-to-120000-excess-deaths-in-england/
Ive seen first hand how cutbacks in spending have been slowly destroying the care sector. Cuts were going on before 2010 though as a result of Gordon Browns race to the bottom promotion of competitive tendering in the care sector. Of course the 2008 financial collapse was manna from heaven for the Tories as it gave them the great excuse to pull the financial rug out from under health and social care.

Brazil looks fcuked. The presidents is more worried about the economy than dead people.

Mind you, that's going to be the result with every country - put up with the dead, lets make some money.

No it’s not. I don’t think the governments get to sack the entire BBC and recruit right wingers on winning an election, nor do they have any control over media agenda.

We’re not Cheeeina you know.

You do know who Murdock is? And that he can sack and appoint the editors for his many news outlets as he sees fit?

Aye, because the right are going to be falling over themselves to publish their responsibility. Rolling Eyes

I've heard of an Autralian called Rupert Murdoch. Does he own the BBC, Facebook, Twitter, ITV and Channel 4 then? Which right wing mainstream media does he own, because Sky is far from right wing now and he only owns a minority share in it?

As far as I can see, he owns the Times, The Sun and the News of the Word, hardly a controlling share of UK media.

The news of the world closed down during the phone tapping scandle (arguably the lowest point by MSM for decades and it was a tory rag) which was years ago.

Are you using a 10- year old copy of the google dvd? It would explain a lot of your pronouncements.

This may help: https://www.mediareform.org.uk/media-ownership/who-owns-the-uk-media

83% of print media is owned by 3 companies:

- Daily Mail Group
- News UK
- Reach PLC

So that's
- DAILY MAIL
- RUPERT MURDOCH
- Local papers which print local shite. Oh and they do the Express and Sunday Mirror

Anyone who claims UK media is "too left wing" is usually a rabid right wing hysterical manic who has been suckered in by "free speech" youtube channels (also predominantly right wing) whose sole childish claim is, "People get angry when I make cuntish remarks, the world must be so left wing!" Don't forget talk radio, Virgin radio and his influence marketing company.

So, in the eyes of a raving Leftwaffe, how exactly are the government to blame for the deaths of the Chinese Virus?

PPE was there, but NHS managers are so shit, they struggled to distribute it. We entered lockdown at the correct point and no dissimilar to any other major country. NHS has always had spare capacity. People are being paid to not work.

Cut the Leftwaffe media bullshit and tell me what the government has really done wrong? Private care homes charging up to £4,000 a week are not the government's responsibility to fund or provide PPE.

You clearly don't understand what a capacity debt is and I'm not going to waste my time explaining to you. Neither will I waste time explaining how the residential care sector works. I think the best way for you to learn is for you to go and visit a Covid 19 ward and take big lungfulls of air until you get the Virus.

It seems there will be a big spike in Covid19 deaths because the numbers reported will now include everyone from care homes and in the community as well as the previously reported hospital deaths.

Maybe it should have been done form the start but my tin foil theory is the government want to frighten the proles into staying in with a 'sudden increase in death, stay home and protect the NHS' scenario.

They are, in my view, starting to lose the people with more and more breaking lockdown and more shops reopening.

Whatever it does it will give Val and CDX*** a huge stiffy to be able to lay into how sh1t Britain is. Rolling Eyes

I've been suspicious about the obscuring of care home deaths since the begin as there is sn automatic reporting system for deaths in care. Not just residential services either, but any social service registered with the Cate Inspectorate has to report the death (and cause of) of a client immediately. So the figures were always there.
Granted Britain is not exactly s#ite ad a place to live but there's an unexeptabke chance that living here means metaphorically speaking you get a lot of s#it on your shoes walking around the place.
