Hi All,
I'm restoring an old 1983 Honda CM125 Custom 1983, spending more on it that it will ever be worth but a great project for Lock Down

Purchased a CM125C complete lock set only to find the Helmet lock is wrong, probably fits the cheap Chinese copy machines

Has anybody ever succeeded in dismantling one of the attached helmet locks, hoping the get the new lock barrel to fit in the old casing, but don't want to destroy it trying to work out how

Does look like it's held together by 2 knock in pins but not sure due to the amount of rust

Same lock fits a multitude of other Honda's C60 C90 Superdream etc

Any help would be appreciated

Cheers
Ade

Answered my own question this morning

1) Drilled out the 2 pins and top comes away
2) Removed spring and bar activator
3) Locking bar just pushes out
4) Push in bar at bottom of the lock and push out

now just need to: -
1) find lock settings that work with new key, should be able to use ones from new lock
2) drill out pins fully so I can use a small self tapper
