Hello chaps,
After getting my silencer repaired. All the internal baffling (mild steel) has rusted out and mostly come out the silencer, I assume there is a bunch of wadding floating around in there now.
Its already had 1 'repair', the weld furthermost to the right, one of the baffle tubes had rusted free and was clanging around in there, cut it open, removed and had it welded back up, but not with stainless.
Long story short, anyone know any places I send this off to. After having new baffling put in/repacked. Its too loud for me now and want it returned to original condition, then welded backup with stainless.
Already asked Delkevic if they would do a repair job on it, but the customer service said they would only sell new items not repair..

Does seem to be rather flogging a dead horse there. Is it something special?
You can pick up an old micron end can for under £50. They bolt together so can be dismantled and repaired/re-packed.
The link pipe looks pretty simple, you'd just need a single bend with a flared end. There are guys on ebay who'll make you up pretty much any bend you want. ____________________ “Rule one: Always stick around for one more drink. That's when things happen. I did the 2010 Round Britain Rally on my 350 Bullet. 89 landmarks, 3 months, 9,500 miles. |
