I bought a PS4 and only used it a handful of times. After playing on PC for so long using a controller just feels terrible unless I'm playing a racing game. I was hoping the Crash Bandicoot remake would make me like consoles gain, but it was pretty terrible.

I bought a PS4 Pro in 2016, and then an XBOXone in 2017 after 2 decades of PC gaming. Using a controller was a challenge, almost a game within a game.
Using consoles feels like retirement for me. I have Rheumatoid Arthritis and constant mousing has swan-necked my fingers. Using a controller is easier on my hands.
I've gotten pretty hand with the controllers, but there really is no substitute for accuracy with a keyboard and mouse.

My husband built a racing sim for racing games, along with a VR headset.

As for PS5, maybe once they've dropped their price and a few PS exclusives have been produced.
New Xbox for me this winter. I've got the Amazon vouchers saved up already for it. Probably have enough for 2 by the time they go on sale Smile

I stopped console gaming, I moved to PC, because sticks are gayer than Christmas.

I considered getting a PS5 or Xbox, but its just money down the drain right now, my PC will outplay those consoles until the cows come home.

I may get one if a decent exclusive comes out.

I only got the PS4 for the exclusives and I will get the PS5 for the very same reason. I'm not gonna bother buying the rev. 1.0 version though, just like I didn't bother buying the PS4 at launch.

I got the PS4 maybe 5 years after the launch, so I had tons of affordable games to play before I got bored.

I'm worried about MilfHunter playing GT7 and then going out and driving his focus ST.

I'm not sure he has the assets to distinguish between GT7 and reality.

In reality, if you are shot you do not get to 'respawn'. If you run over pedestrians they do NOT just go 'ouch' and then get back up. If you go shooty shooty and the police come after you and shoot you, IRL you are not 'wasted', then waking up at the hospital the next day perfectly fit (and no longer a criminal).

Please please read this.

While not so easy to traditional hack, aimbot style. The consoles still have their fair share of cheats.
Mouse and keyboard can be used, though from what I've heard there is a lag factor and while not exactly a cheat is still an advantage.
Also there are products that do things like reduce recoil, or can duck for you while you shoot, amongst a multitude of other cheats. Xim is one of those products. So never assume there are no cheats on consoles. They are legion!

Could say the same about steering wheels and gamepads though, a wheel certainly gives an advantage in racing games.
If I were playing an FPS game then I'd need to use a keyboard and mouse, gamepads suck for that.

Let me know how you get on against a true kbm player. There is no way to accurately input a mouse into some games, Destiny being the prime example, that I play at a very decent level. If you dare to play against a good controller player, your kbm setup (which would need XIM) would cause you to lose.

A shooter = PC hands down.

Native or not, it isn't supported without XIM in the majority of games, same with Xbox.

I'm extremely sweaty and was on controller, but its disgusting to use sticks now.

Yes, but Destiny 2 doesn't support it, so its of no use. There are a handful that do, but the one game I solely play does not, and I would rather eat a dick than play under 60fps.

I actually really like the design direction Sony have taken this time around, especially ditching the black plastic look in favour of a cleaner, sleeker looking machine.

As a person that has had every single new console on launch day since the Atari Jaguar ( Embarassed ), I will be pre-ordering a PS5 but for the first time in my "gaming life", I am actually very unsure about the Xbox Series X. I haven't seen or heard of anything that will justify the outlay thus far.
