Hi everyone

New to the forum and hoping your experience can help with a bit of advice please.

I’m looking to purchase a hybrid bike flat bar for general use and to hopefully discover a great hobby.

I’ve narrowed my choices to the following and was hoping if if anyone can help me decide.

Orbea Carpe 40 - blue red white. Bold colours. £450ish I’ve actually ordered this though not available on cycle scheme. It’s got a while to ship so have time to cancel. I ordered as was last in stock but now I’ve started to (and enjoyed) researching different bikes and specs I’m wondering whether there are better options and I should buy a bike from a vendor where cyclescheme is allowed and save around £230

Orbea vector 30 in green. £639. Better groupset and fork than the carpe. https://www.orbea.com/gb-en/bicycles/urban/vector/cat/vector-30

Triban rc500 flat bar. £549. Have read brilliant reviews but some bad things about wheels and changes. But is the sora groupset streets ahead?

Many thanks

Sounds like you're looking for www.cyclechatforums.com as this is a motorcycle forum. Wink

If the ride to work cycle scheme thing is available to you then IMO definitely make use of it.

Buying pushbikes at the moment is a bit tricky because anything even slightly good is sold out and the shops don't know when they'll be getting more stock. Sad
