I've got two, a flip front and an open face, and since buying the latter, I've not worn the former for the last two years. Only got the one bike, only have one riding style, so I find that plenty. Just had a mate post on FB that he needs to stop buying helmets, as he's up to 5 now. Two for each bike, and one that he can wear on either.

Two others have now replied that they have 14 helmets each. I think they have a problem.

Who's the Imelda Marcos of helmets here?

I have two, both the same model, because I find them very light, noiseless and head-buffeting-free, and so I bought the second one before I left the firm where I got them super cheap.

I've known folks that collect them though. Each to their own.

I have the one I use and all the old ones I haven't got rid of.....Except I have got rid of them now, a local craze for crash helmet planters, the old ones are all now depadded and sprouting luffly flowers as they swing in the breeze.

I have a Caberg Trip flip front and a Duchinn 205 open face helmet. Unless it is pissing down or really cold I tend to wear the Duchinni as I find it much lighter and more comfortable

Got 2 work lids. 3 I rotate to commute in. A scorpion exo combat in white (coz it looks like a stormtrooper and is nice in summer.) A crosser lid plus a dual sport. Oh, and an Agv Simoncelli rep I was bought but will never wear. Everything gets worn, there's always one that's not dry in the winter!

Three here one conventional Shark Full Face, an O'Neil Enduro style and an open face no name was only £30 - that gets worn as much as anything this time of year.
You can literally forget it's on and walk in places and wonder why they are looking at your head.
Having two is barely an extravagance - if it gets wet inside few things are worse than discovering still not dry next day.

Funnily enough I was just thinking of posting a “How much motorcycle apparel do you own?” thread as I know people with so much more gear than me that ride less often.

I have 1 Full face lid, 2 pairs of bullit jeans, 1 pair of RST textiles, RST boots and a jacket. Does me year round, jacket is a bit miserable to put back on when it’s wet, but my commute is short.

I have a open faced bash-hat for off road (motoball).
My AGV with British Bulldog logo for when riding the Kawasaki .
My flip front bash-hat for when I’m on the Chinese pos.
I have my Batman bash-hat for when I’m on the Hyosung.

Absolutely no logic or reason as to why.

Same as I have different apparel for each different bike?
It’s just bonkers , but I’m not going to change it.

I have three.

Main one is an Airoh modular with a removable chinbar so it is genuinely either open face or full face as required.

Also have a proper trials lid with a peak for.. trials.

i kept my old arai because I sometimes do drag racing and it has an ACU gold sticker despite being beyond fucked... It does occurr to me that my trials lid also has an ACU gold sticker though and so is probably acceptable for scrutineering purposes. Not sure if it would cope with the terminal speed on my sportsbike without strangling me though.

I have 6. Embarassed

2 Shark Speed R
1 Shark Spartan Carbon.
1 Biltwell Lane Splitter
1 HJC RPHA10
plus a cheap open face lid for in car wear on track day type things.
Conclusion - I have too many lids. Laughing

1 lid
2 visors. 1 clear and 1 light smoke
2 full sets of liners / pads.

Do keep seeing stuff and thinking 'hmmm' maybe more would be good.

Threw and gave away quite a few when I moved to this house a couple of years ago. I probably at 1 point had nearly a dozen.

Currently I have 3. 2 full face sharks and a German pisspot with Hello Kitty stenciled on the side.

The Mrs has more than me, though she has 1 lid (amongst others) in 3 different colour schemes because she couldn't decide which would go best with her jackets Rolling Eyes

I only ever have one active helmet - always a full-face with a colour and design intended to stand out. I still have my two previous helmets just because I haven't got rid of them yet and I feel there must be something I can do with them, but currently one is buried in the garage somewhere and the other is an ornament in my bedroom.

I have 5. 3 HJC's, a Shark and an ancient Nolan.

2 of the HJC's and the Nolan reside in the garage. They haven't been worn for donkeys years and one has had a Robin family nest in it because I left the visor open. I very much doubt I'd want to wear that ever again. Laughing

I've never had a wet helmet liner, maybe the very bottom neck part a touch damp, but never so wet as it won't dry out by the next morning, and never inside. Is that really a problem people have?

In any case, I have one lid, a black Arai Debut.

I've only ever have one wearable lid at a time. I sometimes keep an old one spare for pillion use but these days anybody likely to go on the back has their own gear anyway.

Stinky lid foam - easier / quicker to swap liners over and hand wash / air dry the one you took out.

Hanging baskets or donate them to the local fire brigade to use for casualty rescue exercises/first on the scene courses.

Two. Arai and a Schuberth.

Schuberth probably needs to be replaced as the cloth fabric around the neck.is wearing thin now.
Had it for years. Still snug on my dome.

3. My everyday lid, my backup lid, and an offroad/green laning lid. Daughter has hers, and that's more than enough clutter once you start adding in gloves, neck tubes etc.

An Arai and an AGV

Can't stand the AGV after buying it and much prefer the Arai although the side pods and fins have broken due to a slip off the seat. Quite disappointed in the quality of the cheap plastic parts so opted not to replace.

Don't get me started on the procedure for changing out the visor on the Arai!

Might go back to a Shoei when I next need a lid as only need one at a time

I've got a Bell and an Arai in service at the moment with the retired Shoei Qwest sitting on top of my bedroom wardrobe. Can't bring myself to chuck it out.

They used to be so quick and simple to do - couple of seconds if you were used to it.
What was it...open visor fully, and whilst flaring the sides from the bottom edge, continue the opening motion and rip it off. Refitting about the reverse of that.
