Thinking of buying a 2010 XJ6 Yamaha, 7500 miles on it.

Im returning to biking after a long lay off and have sold my Yam SR400.
Now want to move on a bit. I fancy a 600cc ''something'' but should I be looking at a Bandit/ Fazer / hornet as well?

Re the XJ6...
Are they any good, reliable and generally problem free?
Will it CRUISE at motorway speeds + ?
Would it be suitable to tour about on? Long weekends etc.

Bike looks to be in great shape etc but would appreciate any advice.
Many thanks.

It's a 600 cc multi cylinder, of course it will cruise on the motorway all day long. Just look at the top speed. It's well above motorway speeds.

Good all round machine that is perfect for any new rider or one that has come back to riding after a long stint of not riding anything for a good long while.

Other half had one as her first bike, she then moved onto a tracer 900 after that.

It's easy to maintain, easy to ride, it won't tear your face off. She commuted on it, rode it with full luggage on trips and generally had a lot of fun on it.

I had an 2011/2 XJ6 and commuted 50+ miles on it from outside the M25 to central London.

It does everything it should have, only downside for me was it is a little bland and not very exciting or thrilling to ride.
