Best way to pass your test is keep shopping for big bikes and the dream cruiser you like.

Dreaming of cruising over the tops, it will motivate you like nothing else Smile

Enjoy the learning experience, i actually enjoyed the whole process.
then buy the bike, and spend all your money and push your misses to work on the streets, so you can buy all the gear you need lol

Good luck Thumbs Up

Did you guys start on the bike you thought you wanted?

As far as my first big bike, yes. But I grew up loving the VFR750 and always wanted one. Having a pretty good idea of what I was looking for after 4 years on 125s, I did a load of opinion/fact finding, and discovered that my teenage lust was apparently for one of the best all round bikes ever made. No-one really had anything bad to say about them.

***Long winded review of how great the VFR was when I bought it, deleted here***

The VFR isn't the best at anything, but it is above average at pretty much everything (except perhaps outright power). But from the perspective of your question, I basically got incredibly lucky. For most people, what they think they want will be flawed in some way when they actually get it (or they just can't afford what they really want). It might be cramp inducingly uncomfortable, or the engine doesn't thrill them, or the tank range is too short etc. And they'll use that knowledge for the next bike. Point being, my experience of getting exactly what I wanted (and then spending 15 years struggling to find something new that ticks all my personal boxes) is the exception rather than the rule.

DAS term is sooooo last century. A motorcycle test is A, A2 or A1. The test is the same. FFS.
Teflon will be along soon with an explanation!

DAS is surely the terminology for a 24-year-old (or older) non-rider progressing straight to a full big-balls 'A' license without gradually incrementing up by riding and doing tests on smaller bikes first.
