Take a pic and upload?

Edit: sorry, didn’t see pic. What area of the bike is that?

Why has someone fitted what looks like 1950s plumbing to your bike?

Seems to have teflon tape there and really doesn't look standard but I dont know the bike. The only thing I can think of is a fuel pipe but it's not really the sort of pipe and fittings i would expect.

One picture zoomed right in one a thing that doesn't look like it should be on a bike. Another picture not showing the part. So no idea of context, what this thing is connected to.

Maybe it's on the rear brake line? It looks like a bad thing to use there if so.

so, thats a load of air line fittings.

The brass thing is a silencer. None of that belongs on a bike..

(Also ties in nicely with fistys identification of the type.)

I cant even see it in your other pictures? Follow the lines of where it is leaking and see where it goes to, then take a picture of of that.

As above, that fitting is an iron pneumatic fitting with a sintered bronze silencer and has no place on a motorcycle or running with oil in it (unless you are me and doing radical alterations to the standard breather system Shifty ). It did not come fitted to the bike from the factory.

It looks very like it's connected to a crankcase breather assembly so I would ordinarily suggest you have overfilled it with oil.

Another possible issue is if the outflow for the breather is blocked. They usually vent into the airbox.

What makes me worry you haven't is the presence of said fitting. Someone else has clearly had enough of an issue with this to have fitted that in an attempt to fix it which makes me concerned there is excess crankcase pressure. Could be caused by broken/worn/misaligned piston rings or maybe a head gasket blowing into an oilway. Possibly a damaged valve in the breather but they are usually passive on this kind of bike.

I hope your engine oil isn't the same colour as the stuff coming out of that silencer? If it is, your motorbike is sick.

See if the rest of the engine oil is that colour.

make sure you haven't overfilled the bike with oil.

Check the pipe is clear all the way along its length and isn't kinked/blocked somewhere.

That golden thing is a type of filter element , that is why oil is pouring out of it. I don't know what this type of filter is called but the element looks like this : https://favpng.com/png_view/motorcycle-fuel-filter-gasoline-motorcycle-png/wx6uL3S8 Look at the construction of the filter itself, lots of little brass balls sintered together.
Why anyone should put such an item as one branch of a tee , is completely beyond me.

Yeah that looks very similar with so many people saying it shouldn’t be there I will have to take to the garage and see if they are able to sort it and thank you so much for your help

No it isn't. It's a sintered bronze pneumatic silencer.

They are used to quieten down vented compressed air from dump valves in pneumatic systems. Nothing whatsoever to do with a vehicle at all. Or anything to do with oil.

In theory, it's not an entirely stupid thing to put on a crankcase breather outlet pipe because all it should be doing is venting gas and maybe a very fine mist of vapour.

It isn't strictly 1950s plumbing.
It was used in the 1950s but The Muricans and The Ching-Chong still use those type of fittings for plumbing. Its a malleable steel 1/4" NPT Tee with 1/4" Nipples and PTFE thread tape with a Sintered Bronze 1/4" NPT Breather.

Should not be there.

The Silver Paper 'Lagging' shouldn't be there either.
