Hi,
My bike was knocked over and left-hand side engine casing was damaged. I had to buy a new one and as I was taking it apart I lost a steel dowel or pin with the hole in the centre about 2-inches long. I have tried many bike shops to buy a new one but it's not coming up in the diagram and therefore I am stuck now. This pin goes into the casing and into the side of the engine casing. I have added the picture where you can see my finger pointing where it goes. Please can you help me or advice me where I can buy it or what I can do?
Many thanks,
Ian

Have you emailed a Honda dealer with the photos? Seems like something they'd identify very quickly. Think it is a clutch cover dowel pin.

Hi,
Thanks Smile This is not the one I am looking for. Yes, I have emailed all pictures to Honda dealer and they don't know exactly what it is. The pice is about 2-inches long with a hole in it, not 10 x 16mm. I have 10 x 16mm. My finger pointed to the hole where it should go. Do you have any other ideas, thanks a lot, ian

Email a competent dealer. They have exploding fische style diagrams for the entire parts catalogue of all their bikes. I live near Dobles of Coulsdon but don't know if the post parts.

If a dealer tells me a 'dunno mate' regarding a part then they don't get my business. Ever.

How do you know you lost one? I've had a look at the exploded diagrams on the fowlers 0parts site and theres nothing in that hole in either the crankcase one or the generator cover one.

Seen at 4:03 here, and on Partzilla here.
Shaft for the starter reduction gear. I think that's what it is anyhow.
