I heard orange peel* as a deterrent - anything else?

Super soaker filled with orange juice - water would probably not be much of a deterrent.

I've thought about those airsoft type guns that fire watery gel pellets but I'd think they might hurt a bit too much.

Wind chimes worked for us no more shitting cats. Added bonus owner of worst of the shitting cats came whining that our chimes annoy them at night, the joy I had in telling them to go fuck themselves.

Air rifles are a bad idea, I have no issue with the ethics but you have to sit up waiting for them.

What, not the engraved brass butt plate of a heavy air rifle, freshly polished, brought down from on high - wham! - with a vivid crunch, in the blood-red glare of the fading sun?

Oh. So he'll hjust ave to make do with a water pistol and some orange peel, then.,

Maybe he means it's for the irresponsible owners endangering other peoples small pets and wildlife.

Personally I think it's a great opportunity to indulge in some garden hairdressing.

This is the better option.

My cat (female, rescue cat) is occasionally terrorised by a local moggie which is why I was looking at cat deterrent options.

I refurb'ed my old BSA Mercury recently but I don't think it's required as a cat deterrent.. I like cats but not their faeces.

Wind chimes sound interesting though not heard that before.

Fluke that they have worked, they weren't bought for it. I suspect it's because they sound a bit like a collar bell.

It's a pair of these, though they cost less than that new in Home Bargains https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/224042390495

Time wasters are grinding my gears today.

1st a "mate" who told me 6 months ago he wanted some GSXR stuff I was selling (so I removed from sale). He then vanished off the face of the fucking planet, now he has reappeared he pissed me off last minute canceling last week, then decided he would come get the shit I'm holding on Monday, then moved that to this morning. Text at 1130 with some crap excuse about something coming up....... his place to mine is over an hour so the twat was never planning to come this morning. The fuckery is particularly annoying as I moved work meetings around so now tomorrow is a beast of day, needlessly. Also it's just fucking rude, if I tell someone I'm going to be at a place at a time I'm at that fucking place at that fucking time, I expect the same from others.

2nd selling an old iPhone, 3 people turned up at the door to buy it so far, 1 thought £60 meant he could offer me "10 quid cash now", another tried to get me to swap it for an even older phone and the 3rd asked to come inside to pay for it because she's "been sanctioned so no money".

I'm looking for the neon sign above my head saying "mug".

Not Facebook Marketplace per chance?

I've given up trying to make beer money on sites like FB Marketplace, Gumtree etc. Even giving away on Freecycle is a chore.

Item selling for £80, listed with my postcode.
Person 1
"Hi mate, will you take £50?"
"Meet me halfway at £65 and its yours."
"Will you take £50?"
Person 2
"Hi mate, will take it. Can you send me your address?"
*gives post code again*
"Oh, that's miles away, can you deliver?"
Person 3
"£40."
Literally nothing else.

Stupid cunts, should be sterilised and any offspring culled. How the fuck these people cope with breathing amazes me.

Oh, and if someone ends a message with "Thanks Hun x", they get an instant block!

I must be lucky. My sole experience with FB Marketplace was selling an old sofabed, I got the price I asked for, everything was above board and they collected it exactly when they said they would. But I have heard plenty of stories from colleagues about randomers turning up, stupid offers etc. etc. although perhaps it depends a bit on what you're selling. I can imagine high-value (relatively) electronic goods are likely to attract shall we say a "broader demograph" of buyer compared with furniture.

Nail on the head I think. Especially crappier stuff this is an old 6s I found in a draw.
