What is the actual speed limit on Westway A40?

from elevated roundabout to marylebone.

There is signs and light on the road for average speed camera and signs everywhere saying 30mph but everyone seems to be doing 40...

anyone have a clue of the actual average speed limit there measured by cameras?

The average speed measured will be the distance between the cameras and the time you took between them.

As to what speed triggers a penalty your guess is as good as mine. The APOC guidelines say 35 mph for a penalty.

189mph. I wouldn't try and go much faster than that, it's pretty busy sometimes. Bounce!

Do you mean the one at Westfield?
I've actually no idea. Hardly ever go that way, although having said that, I was on there about a week ago, first time in months.

I tend to be somewhere between 30-45 along there with no issues.
