Hi all first post after some advice please have done a search but didn’t throw up my issues. Purchased a 99 T plate 600 cbf hornet at the weekend isn’t running as well as I’d like been fettling with the idle switch and it sits around 13-1500 rpm at idle and after riding 3-5 miles it won’t go below 2000 rpm at idle.

Second issue is after a ride (or during) and the engine is hot it won’t start turns over at normal sounding speed but just won’t catch will bump start no problem. Any help greatly appreciated.

Sounds like the choke might be sticking on. Be near the top of my list of things to check.

Thanks mate the choke assembly was a little bent and it wasn’t returning properly so straightened it out and it’s now working as it should.
