bike for me?

Hi

I have £2000 to spend on a bike. Im 17 and once i have completed my bike test is it best to get a 125cc or a 400-500cc and restrict that to 33bhp. Also will a second hand bike act alright with restictors? thanks

If you can afford insurance & find a bike in decent condition etc, I'd say "go for a restricted "big" bike."

Why?

Because they feel and handle a lot different to ride than a 125cc machine - heavier yet better-balanced for starters. You might as well get the experience as early as possible, if you have the chance IMO.

a 125 is a waste, go for a sports 400 (cb400 etc if you want comfort) or a ER-5 type beast

if youve already done your test, theres no point faffing about with a 125
