Is on my site now....
https://www.giffould.com/?p=diarydetails&diaryid=8

Pictures should be up in the next day or so, will add to the post when I do.

A quick note relating to Sunday after noon's events.
I had been meaning to update my personal-profile before Snetterton, then Lydden but the events at Lydden got my arse into gear to do it.

Motorsport is dangerous, but so are many things in life. It was a year ago on Monday that we were involved in a very dangerous crash; and we hadn't even got to the track yet then.

My dad was killed in a road traffic accident when I was 11.

Life is dangerous. People fall down the stairs and kill themselves.
I do realise that I'm much more likely to be killed or seriously hurt racing motorbikes than walking down the stairs, but it's a risk I'm willing to take.

I hope other racers are well informed of the risks in relation to other activities.

It does also re-enforce that I shouldn't feel bad about not pushing it 100% as much as I feel I should. I may not be riding as quickly as I could be, but I will be riding at the next meeting hopefully; seeing it from a physical as well as a financial point of view.

Hi
Was reading things on VD seems a few people are giving up racing, i have re-assed weather or not i still want to race.

I've decided i still want to, in relation to the things said above, we could all sit in our house not moving from the spot and live many years, or we can take the risks to make a fulfulling life. Kind of the motto of a bike (big metal cages are on average safer)

I forgot to mention that I also wasn't too happy with my brakes in the first race.

Fluid seemed to be find, so I played with the lever position a bit in the second, but they stiff felt a tad squidgy for r6 brakes.

They've been moderately cleaned recently, so new pads might be in order.
