...only in the sense that I managed to lose my 'L' plates today! Huzzah. Laughing

Only one minor for poor gear choice at a roundabout on a slope (I chose second the bike chose to stall).

Thanks to everyone who has offered me advice since I first got the bike about 3 months ago. Remember this? (one of my first posts):

Quote:
Well, a day earlier than planned I plucked up the courage to take out my bike for the first time.

I only went from my mother's house up to mine (about 5 miles - if that!). Terrified all the way, stalled a couple of times, over-revved all the time, forgot to indicate, forgot to turn off indicators, missed gears, almost got squished by a bus

Going to start celebrating now (it's too windy to go out riding!)

Well done that man!

Too windy? Thought you'd be heading for the nearest motorway with a pillion Smile

Well done! Dance!

Really happy for you. One minor is a great pass, must be a good rider. Wink

Are you looking to get a more powerful bike now, or reckon you'll just stay on the SR for a few more weeks? Last I heard, you were looking into an ER-5. Cool

Enjoy the beers & pizza tonight. Very Happy

Cheers folks! Yup, I am going to move up to an ER-5 when I can scrape some extra cash together.

The SR was a great bike to learn on, but it just feels a little bit unsafe not having any power when you need it.

Just pleased to get rid of the 'L' plates for now though.

Time to start drinking!
