Last week, for the first time since my 'biker rebirth' about 5 years ago, I discovered I had a slow puncture. The only reason I was aware is that the bike has tyre pressure sensors and is normally rock solid, so I was quickly aware of dropping just 2-3 PSI over the day. So I was able to make it home OK, and I plugged the tyre at my leisure in the garage yesterday.

But the funny(?) thing was, I've been carrying around a 'Stop and Go' kit, plus electric pump, in my top case all these years in case of a puncture... but when I finally came to actually use the kit yesterday I found that one crucial component was missing - a specific hex key, which eventually turned up in my workshop (I'd had a practice run with the kit on an old tyre, just after buying it). So all this time, having religiously been carrying this repair kit around, it would have been as much use as a chocolate teapot had I needed to use it in anger Rolling Eyes

I once had six in one day Crying or Very sad , to be fair, that did include one faulty tube that I never even got inflated and one 'nipped' tube; I enjoyed a lovely night under the stars in the Egyptian desert as a result mind. Very Happy
