Hi community,
I'm new to the biking ecosystem and I can't find parts for my Honda NSR 125R 1999.
I both some total scrap bike (I didn't know it was bad, my first bike), it literally drove 5 km and died after purchase. After fixing, I drove for 2 days and destroyed the top of the motor.
Now I have replaced the clutch, chain system, ignition system, top of the motor and piston, fixed exhaust leaks and replaced carburetor jets to their original size.
I can't properly tune the carburetor, I think it can't be done, as I am missing power valve flaps. All system is working, except, it does not have flaps. And I can't find them at all. I still need to fix the front and rear shock absorbers and all plastic pieces.

Hello there 
I see that power flaps are hard to find. I had a hard time finding the original indicators. What I did is I searched for NSR 125R that is being sold for parts. Then, ask the seller if you can go there and look inside the engine because you need power valve flaps. Many of NSR are totaled and people are looking to get rid of them Most of the time sellers will not post an auction with every individual part.
Also, in terms of tuning the carb. Just tune it to the spec, and install the valve flaps after you find them, then the NSR should work fine. Right now you are missing the flaps, the exhaust gases can flow freely so your bike probably struggles a lot on low rpm.
Take everything I said with grain of salt. I am not an expert, just a noob that is slowly learning
