im working on a circuit at the mo (finished) and building a test rig as soon as i can for my bike (zxr400)

but if they work and i can test them on other bikes (heres where you lot come in)

Would anyone be intrested in a BCF branded Rev Light thingy?

hopefully a small box that can be tucked away and the lights seperate, just need help finding something to mount the led's in to make it flexy

need to sort out the costs of stuff but i rekon they will be far far cheaper than 60 quid or what ever datatool do them

That'd be really helpful as the MZ has no rev counter at all and no gear indicator so it would help greatly with that. Stop me detonating the motor at least, as well as look cool.

If its that sort of thing. then yes, I would like one for my mini as I took my big rev counter clock out because the new dash didnt have room for it.

I might be interested, but then again - i don't have a tach so it'll be pretty useful for me to see the revs as well as hearing it. Sometimes i feel my engine isn't loud enough when i have my plugs in.

BTW dont hold out as me and my mates have worked out a circuit that *could* work, it may not or may be hard to set up

i have a digi tacho and digi speedo circuit on paper too

Ric if you could try and make it so that you can just plug it into the wiring loom instead of involving any soldering....of course this may actually make it difficult as different bikes have different set ups but it would definantly make life easier for those of us with more of the same.

basically on a zxr400 the loom has an o ring connector thingy that a screw goes thru into the back of the clocks

from what i can gather without testing (its wet outside)

the signal is one of these, so the link up can jus be screwed in, dont kno about other bikes

Right the spec is lookin as follows

10 Led's, 5 green, 3 amber, 2 red (fully choice tho just that standard)

dimmer switch (can be LDR or manual switch)

adjuster (using small screwdriver) to tune it to your bike

connection fitting for rev signal on set wire

power socket, power connector fitted on a over long wire (so can be cut to size) which will have to be fitted my owner to ignition

tryin to find a solution to make it so the LED's will bend and stick (possibly mounting them in a thin rubber block?)


so what you all reckon?
