Hey all so my brother recently got a triumph sprint 1050 anyway he loves the bike but is noticing that when he's riding the bike it's hurting his knees and abit of hip pain, and I'm wondering does anyone know what he might be able to do so it makes it not hurt?

He did think of changing footpegs but unsure if it would make a difference.

He has had other sit-up bikes before kwak zr, Bmw f800 and no issues just on this one.

It's not a problem I've heard of anyone else having with it. It's not the sort of bike you would put rearsets on so you may be out of luck finding adjustable footpegs and brake/gear lever for it.

It's one of the reasons I shifted mine on. The handling wasn't that sporty really, but the position was overly so IMO. Not far off a Fireblade for knee position, according to Cycle-Ergo, albeit I'd admit nowhere near the forward lean or scootched up hip angle.

Then I'm 6ft and from what I hear, you're not. So that will of course make some difference.

That's fair enough, I have a thing if i dont know i ask on the off chance someone knows or knows someone that might know.

Il let him know, his around 5,8 5,9 ish, its weird as he had a sprint before and found it ok just this one dosnt feel right.

When we get older its a case of more head up and arse down.

Couple of mates had the same issue with tiger sports. They fitted a vario footpeg lowering kit. Only drops the peg an inch or so but made a big difference.

Is this an ST or a GT? I think the seating and peg position is slightly different on the GT ... is it possible that his older one was an ST and his newer one is a GT?
