Click link - https://www.lidl.co.uk/gb/index.nsf/pages/c.o.oow.20050414.index

Available from Thursday 14 April 05.

I know there are people on here who think Aldi/Lidl/Netto are for chavs/pikeys.
However, there also appears to be a few people just getting into bikes for their CBT/test or are strapped for cash who might like the idea of some cheap gear to get started. The gear is from Germany so where needed is TUV rated (like BS rating) so if shouldn't just fall apart.

Anyhow, you pays your money, you make the choice.

HTH Very Happy

Cool Thumbs Up

Oh and yes, lidl is the smelliest, nastiest, grubby, shoody place I have ever been in. I honestly wouldn't be shocked if I seen cockroaches in that place. Shocked

Good to know though. Might even consider the rain suit as I'm after one. Thumbs Up

Seen their advert today for lidl, somehow I dont think i'll be rushing out to buy a £19.99 helmet!!

But they did have a two man tent for £9.99, perfect for V2005 later this year, just put a knife down it and leave it there!

Aldi are doing tank bags for £16.99, I think I'll have one for that price cos they have a clear top for putting my works pass in so I can get through the gate quicker!

Look on the Lidl site, they have a tank bag for £5.99.

Not sure how it would hold up though. Confused

Got a tank bag, disc lock (was going to get two but some woman was asking where they were after they'd all sold out so I gave her one), 2 rider - pillion communicators and a set of maps. The tank bag seems great so far. The maps look good, maybe a bit easy to rip. But waterproof Thumbs Up Not played with the other bits yet.

The intercom thing seems alright. Just trying it at home now. Sounds like it will do the job though Thumbs Up Overall really impressed with the stuff I picked up. If only they were selling full leathers. Still need kit for my girlfriend.

I saw that MCN were also mentioning this (see here).
So I suspect they'll all be sold out before I can get there!

Was interested in the intercom, socks and kidney belt Sad
Don't mind spending a few pennies to see if they work and I can use them. When they wear out/break then I could justify more expensive stuff Thumbs Up

Was like a free for all when I was there this morning. Wasn't expecting it to be that bad. I think all the stuff worth having will be sold out by now tbh. They did seem to have alot of intercoms in though. The other things were very limited. I hear they had 3 battery chargers.

You get the little plug in box thingy. 2 headsets, and a cable to connect a walkman/radio/cd player etc.

No. It's just for rider to pillion. No radios involved.

Time to go out for a ride somewhere I think. Not really the best weather for it though. Need to look for cheapish leathers and some boots that have very wide leg bits to them... Confused
