Coming from Yalding near Maidstone in Kent.

According to the website Laguna in Maidstone and Harley in Aylesford do them but pretty sure they don't have a dyno.

Previously been in touch with HM Racing in Edenbridge and they told me they don't do road bikes.

Next nearest to me, according to the Dynojet website, is Vanguard Motorsport in Uckfield. Not made contact yet. Anyone know if they actually have a dyno? Can anyone recommend them? If not, where the next best place for me to go?

For the MT10.

For the PC or an actual custom map? Can't help with the 2nd, but for the actual device I just ordered mine online via https://www.sportsbikeshop.co.uk/

Custom map, ideally. Had a look at the pre-made maps online to download and nothing matched my setup.

Are they pretty much plug and play, then?

As an alternative you could post away your original ECU and get it reflashed, e.g.

Yeah, you just connect it up to the injectors, TPS, and battery. That's it. Takes longer to lift the fuel tank than to actually hook it up. You'll probably get an eliminator for the O2 connector as well so the ECU gets a constant feedback on that circuit.

The maps you can download online will probably get you 90% of the way there, even if it's not the exact setup you have it'll likely be good enough for your use case even without a custom map.

And be without a bike for a week?

Are you a madman???!!!

Just spoke to Vanguard and booked it in with them for the Easter school holiday. Said they can do Power Commander unit with a standard map or a custom map on the dyno (the latter obviously being more expensive).

Or second option an ECU flash with either Dynojet or Woolwich being a bit cheaper as there's less hardware i.e. cutting our the Power Commander module. Dynojet and Woolwich ECU flashes same price as each other but he steered me towards Woolwich as apparently it's more customisable than Dynojet.

Anyone got any experience with a Woolwich map?

It’s a road bike, you have 10 minutes riding experience. I’d spend the money on suspension and tyres rather than chasing the odd bhp here and there.

I take what you're saying but the bike has an aftermarket decat exhaust.

Given our conversation in another thread, wouldn't it be prudent to get it mapped correctly for the current setup rather than risk running lean?

Besides it's already got Ohlins and new S22s. I'm happy with the current suspension and tyres.

Harleys I can understand as they come pre-crippled at the factory but are you gonna get much more out of the MT10?

I looked at a remap of my XSR since I swapped the exhaust and apparently ppl are overjoyed if they can get an extra 5bhp out of the CP2 engine Neutral

Like I said above; any extra power would be welcome but the main reason is I wanna know it's running right with the decat and aftermarket exhaust.

I rode to a bloke called Chris in the countryside between Bath and Bristol. He reprogrammed my ECU to make the bike run properly at all revs. I then rode it home again. It now runs super smoothly, even at very slow speeds. It did not do this straight from the factory.

I've done nothing to any bike I have ever owned with an exhaust change. Same as my car, never got anything changed when I went full decat and big pipe. Just dealt with it and was fine.

Fair enough. What have you done to the air intake?

Nothing.

Was going to get a K&N before getting it on the dyno but the guy from Vanguard said to be honest he sees very little improvements in what he can get out of a bike after mapping it comparing stock filters to K&N or any other after market filter, the only obvious advantage with K&N is they're reusable.

So on his advice I have decided to leave it, can't be arsed with the cleaning and oiling every so often anyway. Just chuck a new stock filter in there when it's needed for pence.

Fair enough? Or am I barking up the wrong tree?

It's not a massive headache to clean and re-oil a K+N, but it's definitely a longer process than swapping out a paper filter as you say. If you're riding in a sandy environment then they're probably worth it as you'd be cleaning it a lot more often, but over here paper's fine.

There's a restrictive snorkel on my airbox and it's a common mod for the CP2 engine is to just pull that out and slap a lid with a hole in its place, instant extra air flow. AFAIK a similar mod for the MT10 is a bit more... extensive.
