Hi,

I'm trying to replace my engine and my engine has a pipe hose that's connected to a black, fabric hose. The pipe is right on the top of the engine.

Please view the attached image with the red circle. That's my own engine that i will be replacing.

What's this pipe?

The other engine is for the same bike but doesnt have that pipe on the top of the engine!

Please view the attached image.

Can I use the new engine or I need to do anything else to make it fit?

Thanks [/img]

Best guess is that it is some type of crankcase breather, possibly connected to the airbox or air intake through a filter or purge valve. Looks pretty similar to the valve cover on the replacement engine. Why don't you just swap the valve covers and keep the system operational?

Looks like a CG125 clone, the originals never had a breather so I wouldnt worry too much. If the breather pipe fitted rocker cover fits and you want to make it all 'look' how it was then go for it. If you cant be arsed its not going to cause a problem.
