Technically yes. But picture this for example. You buy a bike from a Kawasaki dealer for instance. They sell you the bike telling you it is restricted to 33bhp and they give you a certificate to proove it. Say that person knew nothing about bikes and just took their word for it. They then have an accident, only to find that their bike ISN'T restricted at all. Surely you could just say, the garage told me it was AND gave me a certificate to proove it. How was I supposed to know?
I reckon that would work ____________________ My NSR --> https://members.boards.ie/instinct/Diagonal.jpg

Fraid not, Ignorence is no excuse. Its up to you to give your insurer any details of changes to the vehicle. If they found out you removed the restrictors then they may try to get any 3rd party money back off you. They don't like paying money out and will use any excuse to get out of doing it. Insurance companies scream for your money but trying to get any back is like getting blood out of a stone.
Any modification made to your bike should be told to the insurer, even things like tank pads. The way they look at it is the bike is more attractive to a thief.(unless you put Neons on it then it de-values it ) ____________________ Andy Sez....
