Alloy wheel scratch removal/refurb (car wheels)

Have some scratches from kerbing on my car that I have decided to try and do something about, I'm not overly bothered though so not going to take them somewhere but can anyone recommend a product they found has worked well to help repair/cover scratches/scuffs? Or are the products available not worth it and just a case of live with it?

Alloy wheels are painted.

You will need:

Tyre off.
Rub out the scuff. (Hope the wheel is not taco-ed)
Apply an etching primer.
Apply a colour coat.

Apply a top coat. (Clear coat)

And all the little bits with sanding and cutting involving painting.

Original paint may be a two pack or even a powder coat. (Thermal finish).

But a few tries with 4 or 5 colour match from Halfords will be near as fuk-it.

I know you said you don't want them done somewhere else but I can't help but feel it's a lot of agg and material purchasing, tyre on / off, and the pain of having the car in the air for a fair bit whilst paint dries etc. It's got to be worth a mobile repairer round for just over a couple of hundred quid.

I've also done this with painted alloys with Halfords (or similar) products.

I also used a file metal file to 'deburr' then also filled with some stopper/filler before paint. You can get an ok finish with paint/lacquer but it won't be as durable and they will corrode through in time. Exact match not so important as a the wheels are not next to each other - if you see what I mean.,
