A multifactor problem. Parents don't want their kids to walk or bike to school 'cos of all the paedos (not there is any evidence there are more kiddie fiddlers now than 40 years ago.)

I often wonder that, given PLENTY of 14 and 15 year olds are consensually sexually active with older guys.
Maybe it's just fine if they are broke, but a huge betrayal of trust requiring remuneration if they're loaded.

My firm is Scandinavian and is encouraging the switch to EV company cars. Most of my colleagues, myself included, are switching due to the tax savings, not the tree hugging agenda. I’ve had a Tesla Model 3 Long Range since August and it saves me several hundred pounds per month to spend on bikes and holidays Thumbs Up It only costs 1.4p/miles to run when I charge at home overnight. Which is 95% of the time.

The downside is that it’s very fast but dull to drive, so I bought an Abarth 595 convertible for weekend fun (also my wife’s daily driver). It also made my R1250GS seem a bit sedate, so it cost me £3k to switch to an S1000XR Twisted Evil

My general manager has one of those Fiat Spyder soft top things. 4 Exhaust pipes and it sounds dirrrrrrty when idling.
What engine do they have? It sounds meaty.

Meh, I just work from home and forgo spending money on petrol or equivelent if I can avoid it.

9 visits to the office and 2 1/2 years and counting.

In a related note, today I realised my bike pass of the carpark expired in Feb 2020....
