Parts for older Models

Where do people get discontinued parts for their older modules?

I have managed to get topbox for my bike but struggling to get the rubbers that go between the bike and the topbox (pic attached)

I am after items 2 and 3 on the picture
product number 08L42MER80002 & 08L42MER80003

Have you tried a decent bike breaker or even ebay? Its hardly a 1930s piece of bakelite from an old Vincent. Try Fowlers, pretty easy to find stuff on there.

A quick google suggests It's a NLA item
If it were mine I'd just go DIY
It's basically 2 fancy rubber washers to reduce vibration where the carrier is bolted to the frame.

4 options come to mind initially

See if an available and similar mount form another model can be modded and pressed into service

3d print them in tpu

Create 2 moulds to pour silicion/rubber jollop in

Get some thick rubber sheet and knock something quick and dirty up

As above, looks like they're discontinued.

if you still have the old one and it's in roughly the right shape, or as close to the right shape as you can get with a bit of glueing and patching (doesn't need to be robust, just the right shape), silicone putty would probably be a good shout.

You can make a mould using the old one, either in silicone putty or even good old fashioned plaster of paris then squidge silicone putty into the mould.

EDIT: Alginate impression moulding material in a cut-off plastic bottle also makes a very good 3D mould.

Alginate impression moulding isn't difficult.

As hellkat will no-doubt be amused to hear, it's the same "technology" they use to make custom moulds and silicone rubber replicas of ahem, body parts... Or so I'm told
