Anybody got a Oxford first time strap on tank bag?

Bought one the other day from a tosser on ebay who is very unhelpful.

Cant work out how to fit the damn thing!

I guess one set of straps loop under the seat but I cant see how it attaches at the yoke. There is nothing for it to clip onto.

Advise?

Well, I THINK I've got the same as you. On my bike, the magnets will go down onto the tank and the top strap will go around the ehadstock of the bike with just about the right amount of tightness so that it doesn't affect the steering.

Haven't needed the under tank strap myself. Of course, I have used the bunjees to atttach to either my undertray or frame, on both left and right hand sides of the tankbag

I'm sure if you email oxford procuts, they'll let you know. They had to re-issue the tail pack instructions after it was shown unclear how to secure it to the bike and caused a female rider's death.

I'd imagine they strap under the tank?

You could try e-mailing oxford and asking for instructions, maybe telling them somebody is selling knockoff fake ones on e-bay

Richard, if you can't find any info on it, I'm sure I can send you on the installation cd's you get when you buy them new (especially with that fran woman presenting on the dvd )

And if I can't find them, the proper instructions for them

Its not a magnetic, hence being known as a 'strap-on'!

At the front ent there is just a male and female clip, no strap to tighten around anything. Im sure im missing something as the clips will barely close when not on the bike.

You sure it's not for a baglux cover? Otherwise i have no idea if its's not magnetic.

There was a smaller strap wrapped up inside the package which the bigger sholder strap was in.

Weird Keith, my sisters FZR600 had a metal tank. I remember the T509 having a plastic one though.

I can confirm with Keith that his FZR has a plastic tank.
After I put my tankbag onto the tank on Monday, and me wondering why it wouldn't stick!

Also on the front of the strap on ones, my Cargo Endurance ones, straps on with plastic straps that are on the bottom of the tankbag they attach like D Ring helmet doodahs.
