Don't do it!
Only use a clean soft cloth, i fucked my irridium visor using polish and anti fog. my gold visor only gets the soft cloth now. However be prepared for alot of maintenance work with it. I spend about 10 minutes a day cleaning mine because smudges show up and you can't see when they are there. |

If fogging's a problem, can you fit a Fog-City insert inside the visor? ____________________ Power Ranger |

dont do it, dam right it will wreck it
get a foggy mask or insert and try that but dont spray it with anything !!!!
cleaning wise dont use any solvent based cleaners, or any with silicone in, they scratch the irridium. warm water with a bit of washing up liquid, and wipe gently. for those stuck on insects fill a sink up with warm water and a few drops of fairy and leave to soak, dont try to rub them off before soaking, it will scratch the visor. better still get a visor cleaning kit. m and p do one for about a tenner, great for long runs in the summer ( if we get one this year !! ) ____________________ Buy Blitish |

A while ago i got some spray cleaner that is meant of visors. I've a normal clear visor, are these any good or shall i just go for a bit of fairy. (Used the spray on the old helmet. Looking at the best way to clean the new one!). The new helmet is a Caberg V2 so I've an internal tinted visor. At the moment I'm only really using this when i've my clear visor down to stop the internal one getting dirty! I can't see this lasting during the summer. Not sure if I need to clean the tinted one any differently!
Also, I know all you guys are saying about these Fog-City inserts. My visor is mean to be anti-fog and it seems to work well. Only problem is that my glasses aren't anti fog! Any tips.
All tips gratefully received! |

I bought one of those 'genuine' tinted visors from www.racevisors.co.uk because someone recommended the website...
A few months later, most of the tint around the middle has come off and its nearly see-through Cost me £35 too ____________________ chaff mans random tingz on loot

Hi, my first time here, but having seen the age old debate about visor cleaning, how could I pass on by?!
Iridium visors are a thing of beauty. They look oh sooo nice and shiny when they're new or have been well looked after.... but the moment you neglect them, they tell everyone with their tatty peeling faces!
I've always found that after a long ride when I've accumulated enough deadage that it makes it difficult to see the road ahead, that taking some kitchen towel, soaked in warm water before laying over the visor for about 5 minutes helps to soften up the dead and decaying bugs ready to wiped off with either visor cleaner or water and fairy - I tried picking them off when I was young and naive, but then that's just the folly of youth I guess! ____________________ www.demonwebvisors.co.uk
