Seems that the 'Borg was right on the Chinese not giving two hoots about sticking any old label into any old product and punting them on.
I've seen the ad for these gloves loads of times on social media. TBH I ignored it on the grounds of hipsters gon' hipster.
With all that said, my Held gloves fell apart at the seams in less than 1000 miles riding (I took them to a tailor to reinforce them properly) and I've had equally shonky experiences with RST gloves. Not to mention my mate's Knox Handroids that completely assploded on impact with the floor in a crash. |

I've got a pair of Hein Gericke Pro Sports gloves I've been wearing for at least 10 years now. There's still nothing wrong with them, and most of the time I don't even think about them. I don't think you can really give a higher endorsement of a product than "they're the only ones I've got and I've never even really thought about changing them".
I just wish Hein Gericke hadn't gone under so I could get a spare pair. ____________________ Current - '94 VFR750FR (Dead), '00 VFR800FI, 2011 CBF125 Previous - '10 Street Triple R, '92 MZ ETZ301, '05 TTR250, NSR125R, KMX125, "Honda" Win (chinese copy of an old Honda design with a C90 engine)

I like those Weise summer gloves too and have had several sets. I seem to wear through the palm after about 18 months but they are very comfy.
Just got back from a 4h ride through biblical Scottish rain in my Klim Vanguards and have dry hands. My 6 year old Lidl waterproof jacket has just started to keak in one elbow though. ____________________ “Rule one: Always stick around for one more drink. That's when things happen. I am a very low mileage, fair weather rider, most of my kit still looks brand new to be fair. I've done an average
mileage of 500 miles a year over the last 6 years. There's a good reason for that and I'm hoping to increase upon that
over the next few years with the new bike. |
Pah, I can beat that! My gloves are Kett leathers bought 40 years ago at a cost of 17 quid if I recall from K-Kawasaki in Bedford, a shop long since past. Similarly I too am a fair weather jessie since I passed my car test. ____________________ Now: A100, GT250A, XJ598, FZ750

i have a pair of fur lined short leather gloves that my dad used on his bike in the 70's.
theyre still in excellent condition, but i find them a little bit tight fitting. |
