Hey guys, it's ben a long time since i last posted here, i used to be pretty active but then i've been so busy this last 6 months setting up my own business!

Annnnyyyyywwwaaayyyy.

I've got about 1,300 so far to spend on each bike, but more coming my way soon, i was thinking of getting something like an RGV250 and a Honda XR250. For the money i'd have to go slighty older of course, like 91 - 94 but that doesn't bother me if it's sound Wink. I have to have a 2stroke though, either the roadbike or enduro. I thought maybe have the 2stroke as the road bike, fun fun fun Twisted Evil

I have 1 years nbc but it's gonna be 2 in october. I'm 19 and have a 33bhp liscence.

I'm open to any suggestions! as long as their fun to ride Very Happy

Rather than getting an RGV now and having to restrict the buggery out of it to get below the power:weight ratio (which will make it a lot less than 33bhp) why not go for one of the older 2-strokes.

If you got a nice example of an air-cooled RD250 or 350 I don't think you would have to restrict it. They definatley still have that 2-stroke insanity when they hit the power band, they would qualify for classic insurance ( the NCB doesn't make any odds to this), and you would sell a tidy one for the same as you paid for it when your licence goes full-bore.

I can assure you they are fun to ride.

Smart yellow one in Yamaha racing colours on ebay just now.

EDIT:
In a similar vein, there is a mint looking Suzuki GT250 X7 but it finishes soon. These were never as reliable as the RD though and I think they might just excees the power:weight for a restricted licence come to think of it. Authentic to its period in unusual white colours and micron exhaust so it was owned by someone posh, mere mortals fitted black allspeeds.
