Hmm? Err no! ...... what about all the things you’ve always meant to do but never got round to doing?

I retired early and there’s always something that needs to be done.
The house.
The garden.
Fishing.
The bikes.
The boat.
My kids.
The grandchildren.
The missus.
Pub lunches.
Visiting places.
More fishing.

I sometimes wonder how I managed to get anything done when I was hindered by having to earn a living!

EDIT: Buy a crappy tatty old boat Shocked , that’ll keep you busy! Shocked

Next door neighbour’s dog and my next door neighbour are fugking grinding my gears a lot recently Evil or Very Mad .

If I walk into my garden, the dog barks!
If I go to my garage , the dog barks!
If I open the door in my conservatory, the dog barks!
01.00am the dog’s barking in the garden!
04.00am the dog’s barking in the garden!
It’s a nasty little yappy thing Sick , not even a proper dog.
They never try to stop it barking or train it , they open thier back door and let it out and it starts Rolling Eyes .
Ten minutes later they let it back in.

It must be a family thing , because the daughter visits EVERY day with her nasty little aggressive dogs and they do nothing but bark at EVERYTHING!!!!.

Obviously the ignorant owner is to blame.
However if they are so unthinking and selfish in their attitude, there’s no point into speaking to them , I’m not going to waste my breath .

There you go: my rant is over, I feel a little bit better now

Contactless card not working in the supermarket (I've only used it a few times), resulting in a bit of faffing, holding up the queue and having to enter my pin anyway.

Get a baseball bat and go round and smash their feckin head in ... then give the dog a good kicking ... they'll soon learn!

I've got nuggets on both sides with feckin dogs, same as you, can't go out into the garden without the feckers kicking off!!

Don’t think I haven’t thought about it many times Evil or Very Mad .

I might find it a struggle to batter a woman, and I’d be devastated if they took revenge on my timid little cat.

Have you considered setting them off all hours of the night with a dog whistle so they can share in your frustration? Whistle Whistle

Supermarkets and social profiling.
Sainsbury's are particularly guilty of it.
The last 3 or 4 times I've been I've used the self scan gadget and been very vigilant, making sure that everything has been added into the scanner.
2 out of the 3 times they've said something wasn't scanned and I've had to endure a complete re-check.
I wanted proof that an item wasn't logged but they said it wasn't possible.
I'm pretty sure they're able to manually omit something for a re-check and manually command the terminal you are on to trigger a check.
The last time it happened I got the assistant to go very slowly and show me every step of the process.
Low and behold there was no problem.
If the mrs wasn't with me at the time, I would have gone through the re-scan and just before the time to pay, just walked out of the shop.

Serious question, what do vets recommend in this situation?

I'm guessing they've already tried to mention it in passing conversation.

Training is good if the neighbour is that way inclined, but as a neighbour could you 'train' their dogs not to bark without being able to give the reward? There's various noise stimulating devices on ebay etc, some are deliberately annoying to the dog, others more benign. I gather it's the immediate reward the dog responds to, and eventually that gets associated with the chosen noise.

Is it the dog or the owner? Seems to be certain breeds are more yappy.

I went to a job the other day and heard some yapping from inside. It faded away to be replaced with loud yapping from some vicious thing trying to jam its head under the garden gate. Laughable given I've seen rats bigger than this little shit Smile

It's highly problematic. Giving the dog ALL of its food in treat balls and kongs at the times it's being noisy has been shown to reduce the incidence of barking by over 70%.

If the god enjoys being outside barking at stuff, only letting it out when it's being quiet and taking it back in as soon as it starts will teach it to be quiet surprisingly quickly.

For sure. probably the most common two are seperation anxiety and nervous aggression.

People treat dog like people and are then shocked and suprised when they behave like them.

So this expanded Ulez in London who actually pays that?
Someone said 96% won't have to pay anyway well if only 4% are not compliant how is that so terrible for air quality.

In any case once it's in place they will want to tighten it down again in a year or two it has to be primarily an income generator and will have considerable admin costs on top of grants to scrap vehicles that were perfectly Ok last year.

Of course, they'll just change the exemption thresholds once it's in place. It'll be euro 7 next for diesel cars and
euro 5 for cars as a minimum standard once they have effectively got the zone in place. Then petrol cars from 2006
to 2011 which are currently allowed in without charge will be destined for the scrapheap or a daily fee and fancy that,
it will also only affect a small number of people too. Without being too stereotypical here, the people that are running old
shitters are usually poor people. The ones with least to lose are the ones most likely to kick off against things like this
with some good old pitchforks and torch civil disobedience. The government won't risk any really bold moves yet
because they fear the backlash if they make rules that will affect huge groups of people all at once. If they made a rule
for example to move the cars minimum threshold to petrol up from euro 4 to euro 6 then loads more people would be kicking
off about it because it would effect anything older than 2015. Then watch the fur fly, it wouldn't be a small number anymore
and they know it. It's the slow creep to compliance and they haven't even started on road pricing yet, effectively making
the entire motorway network into a chargeable LEZ by stealth.

31 December 1992 Euro 1
1 January 1997 Euro 2
1 January 2001 Euro 3
1 January 2006 Euro 4
1 January 2011 Euro 5
1 September 2015 Euro 6

Why do you imagine they haven't been heavy handed with these oil activists? They are basically after the same thing
although I can't see how scrapping millions of perfectly functional vehicles, forcing the manufacture of newer ones is
remotely good for the environment, but nuance isn't these peoples strong point, it all falls down when subjected to even
the smallest amount of scrutiny, even the EV agenda.

They have however realised with the Covid civil experiment how easily to turn people into the metaphorical frog in a pan of
cold water. Just increase heat very gradually and the frog just suits there and does nothing. That's evident by the amount
of people still walking around with masks on because the man on telly said so. As someone wiser than me said, 'If voting made
any difference, we wouldn't be allowed to do it'.

Cant take my 2012 Jaguar into Ricmond to see my daughter without paying yet I can take wifies transit based Tourneo in for nothing due to it being built 4 years later even though it has higher emissions than the Jag.

Stupid moneymaking crap.

Which emissions are higher though? The only normally quoted emissions levels for a vehicle are CO2, which is a global problem but not a local problem. The ULEZ is to reduce NOx, SOx and particulates, which are what the euro limits are targeted at, and what causes poor local air quality.

So your jag may make less CO2, but more NOX, SOx and particulates.
