It's unlikely the overfill will kick in a 2/3 full, think you might be exaggerating a tad there, also, what do mean there's no way of telling that you're over filling the tank?? can you not see into the tank when you're filling it?
Also, if the fuel is coming out of the overflow pipe, that's not an MOT fail, and it's behaving exactly as it should, also I think to buy a new Triumph, you'll need more than a couple of grand more, oh, and have you got a full A license, if not that Triumph won't be much use, other than as an ornament..
Looking at the other thread, it appears you don't like the answers you've been given.
It's entirely possible that there is an issue with your, first and foremost check your overflow pipe, and where it's routed, obviously this won't stop fuel coming out when over filled, but, you can at least have some control as to where it disperses, however, in the meantime, I'd suggest you learn just how full you can fill the tank, before it overflows ____________________ Beware what photos you upload, or link to on here, especially if you have family members on them |

For what it's worth. Triumphs also piss fuel out when overfilled.
My mate filled up his tiger sport the other day with the bike on the mainstand then wheeled it over to a cafe next to the filling station, parked it on the sidestand and went into the cafe.
I heard a trickling noise and there was fuel POURING out of the overflow hose onto the carpark. I'd estimate he'd lost the best part of a litre by the time I'd noticed and put it on the mainstand. ____________________ “Rule one: Always stick around for one more drink. That's when things happen.
