Back to my constant pantomime of bullshit with Scottish Power. I've had a second email just four days since the last
telling me that I need to have my meters replaced and to book an appointment for installation. F that say I but
am expecting an avalanche of them now, every few days browbeating me in a very modern manner.

Meanwhile, I read my meters go to pay my bills today and WHAT A COINCIDENCE, I have to queue to get onto
their broken website in order to pay because of a glut of traffic according to them. After 40 minutes trying to log in and
submit my readings this afternoon I try again just now at 9pm. Can't even get logged in so my bills remain unpaid.
Am I supposed to believe that there's 1000s of folk trying to pay their bill at 9pm jamming up the site? Next attempt
will be at 2am, when I know more or less nobody will be trying. It's almost as if a switch has been flicked on my
account to make paying the way I always have thus far an absolute pain in the arse to convince me one of their
spying, variable price, remotely controllable meters is a better option. Perhaps they should fix their website that is
broken before asking me to replace my meter that isn't. This is already feeling like it's the start of a saga.

Kick those Diego Bastartos into touch.

Switch to Octopus.

Much much easier to track bills and energy use.

Spanish Power were relentlessly hopeless.
I've been Paella Free for four years now.

I refuse to use (poetry) own brand paint.

I tried and was disappointed with results every time.

Swapped to Big Brand products and never look back.
I even bought delux to paint the giproc in the garage.

The thing is, I know normal, grey, oil-based primer would have covered it and would in turn have covered with a single coat of gloss. I don't want to be putting any more than two coats of paint on a door frame because it's a total pain in the arse. 100% cutting-in with a brush.

Still not enough of a pain to pay someone else £1200 to do it though.

EDIT: And I just found out Mrs stinkwheel has apparently decided we don't need any empty jam jars about the house and has put the two boxes of jam jars I had in the recycling. As such, I have nothing to clean my brushes in, or put motorbike parts/screws in, or paraffin for cleaning chains. Or indeed, for storing jam, preserves, herbs and spices or dried goods.

The rain will wash the dust off.

Rain's good this time of year, washes the salt off the road.

Travelling West towards Milton Keynes yesterday I saw a letting agent’s sign outside a flat saying, ‘I Got Let.’ It’s not clever…

Filled the car up at Morrisons on Friday. They ‘preauthorised’ £120 prior to the sale and then £70 for the actual sale. Why can’t they refund the preauthorised amount? I know it’s BH but card transactions go through on holidays - why can’t the same system release the funds - or simply take £70 from the initial fee and refund me £50?
Equally I hired a digger on Tuesday and paid a deposit (£250) in accordance with their policy. They collected said digger Thursday (they said they were coming Wednesday) but I’m still waiting on my deposit back.
I’m currently sat £370 down through companies holding on to my cash.
Bloody naughty of them in my opinion.

When you see a "To Let" sign outside of some shabby property, are you ever tempted to insert an "i" in there?

With MCN it's a protest against having to speak and spell the superior colonialist language, cos the Scots were never able to develop a proper one of their own.

Eau contraire Mon amee.

The Hinglish Dialect seems queer to us Celts so we choose to phuque with it where ever apt.

You're welcome.

I just don't tell them anything. Total communications blackout.

I'm with Octopus but I don't have a contract with them, they took on my account from another company.

What really upsets them is they don't have any bank details for me because I sent a reading and paid my bill quarterly with the company i did have a contract with. I continue to do so, totally ignoring all their emails requesting I set up a direct debit, that I send them monthly readings and that my account is in arrears. I've done this for a good 3 years now.

I also ignore all their emails about smart meters.
