Thankfully it's only product seminars I end up at. For encouragement to attend, one had the wheeze of issuing "beer vouchers." Thing was this was in a hotel and we quickly discovered where the photocopier was... the rest as they say writes itself Smile

In the end I practically had to carry one of our directors to a taxi Laughing

It really grinds my gears that someone in our house is happy to leave a slider in the pan for me to clean. When questioned this morning, nobody was prepared to own up to the deed either. Bastards.

Had a crick in my neck yesterday and just before I went to bed this developed into the biggest arsehole of a
headache. I don't think I managed an hours sleep without being woken up in pain. At 5 am I came down and took
3 paracetamol and managed a few more hours. I feel like crap now and the headache hasn't fully gone yet. It felt
like my my brain had suddenly swollen inside my skull, particularly across my forehead.

I suggest some shades or a wide brimmed hat. Nothing worse than squinting in the half light of spring for forehead headaches.

the council.
reported a faulty garage door on 2nd Feb. was given a repair date of 11th April.
tried door yesterday and its still not fixed.
called council today and was told that the lying slag repair men claimed they came out and couldnt work out which door was mine- most of the doors are numbered including mine- youd have to be an idiot not to be able to figure it out.
they also claimed to have phoned my contact number and the person who answered had no idea about any garage Evil or Very Mad
ive now been given a new repair date in July.

slags the lot of them!

That's the last time I invite you to my garage.

I still don't want to know what you did when you and Ste wandered up to his house.

I'm not actually upset by this, I just didn't know where else to put this but today something happened to me that's not happened to me before, I offered someone £150,000.00 base salary (which is more than my own base salary) and they told me no thanks Laughing I thought I was making an offer above market value too Crying or Very sad

To be honest I much prefer being paid £100,000 salary and having a £50,000 business expense account. I take a lot of customers out for really nice dinners and I only fly business class.

Do not get me started. I have people flying to Italy demanding business class just because.

FFS, I can and have spent more time than those flights riding on a non-stop journey up the motorway in the rain.

I had to buy a new car battery and I decided to get one of those mini jump starter packs. So thats the best part of £200 splurged.

I do think ive found the source of the battery drain amd the intermittent poor starting. I noticed i had not fully closed the boot and it seems the interior lights have been left on. Might be made worse in wet weather i suspect rain gets into a door or boot switch and creates a short. Ive just removed the two interior light bulbs for the moment and looking into replacing them with LEDS which have a much lower power draw. The old ones are 10w each so two left on overnight on an already old battery was a significant drain.

Im thinking of getting one of those Bluetooth battery monitors to keep an eye on the battery as not sure the interior lights staying on is the whole story. Anyone had any experience with them?

I can't fly coach anymore, especially on long-haul. I could probably take it or leave it on short connecting UK flights since the Business and First Class products on most carriers are fucking dog shit anyway.

I'm surprised you're not more down for workers rights Nobby, but I often forget you're a bean counter also.
Regardless, hypothetically speaking if I have to go and be an ambassador or representative of a company
and need to get on a plane in order to do so that company has a duty of care to at least make me feel as comfortable
as possible doing so, especially if the position requires me to fly regularly. Regular flying is particularly bad for
your circadian rhythm and has a lasting affect on your physiology. Making it so your employee/representative/ambassador
is at least comfortable whilst fulfilling their role is a basic duty of care IMO and let's be honest most organisations requiring
such demands of the individual can afford to do so. In my mind it's no different to issuing PPE. I've travelled long haul
voluntarily many times for holidays and the time it's taken me to get back in sync with domestic time has been significant,
several weeks in some instances. New Zealand I'm looking at you. Laughing

Italy is hardly fucking long haul.

I'm also following the policy, process and guidelines that my organisation provides.
