I never said I wouldn't vote, I always have done so to date. I honestly think a count of the number of people like

Fucking council tax that's what. It's absolute bastard daylight robbery, ultimately imprisonable if you don't comply.
My bins are collected once a fortnight, that's pretty much all I get out of the deal. I've done some sums and it's costing
me about £70 a time for them to remove a single bag of rubbish each fortnight. In what universe is that okay? Turn
the street lights off, I don't care all my vehicles have lights. I don't have kids so why am I paying for schools? If I called
the Police for anything they likely wouldn't attend and my house insurance covers the cost of the bastard burning
down. I was never asked if my money should be spent on 'clean air™' cameras because if I had been I'd have said "Fuck
no"!! They've made my van worth fuck all at the stroke of a pen and I get billed for the privilege? And of course this year
it's gone up considerably because I don't cunting know why except to fund more ways of bleeding the £££s out of my wallet.
Its a fucking piss take. The chief housing officer on BCC is on 280k a year. So I can see where some of it is going.

1. You must be in a Tory neighbourhood since the council only collects mine once every THREE weeks you fucking toff cunt Laughing ,

2. Your Chief Housing Officer is complaining that his remuneration is below what he would get in the private sector as you type Laughing

We have a bunch of delinquents 'voted' into Holyrood (Hollywood) on the back of a 30yr old Mel Gibson movie (Drunk anti-Semitic, 1/2 breed Murican).

Some of the fallout from 'governance' by these lunatics, is now making Scottish culture an international laughing stock.

Serial rapists being sent to women's prisons.

Police Scotland announcing that they will record rape committed by a male (with a pee pee) as having been committed by a woman if the rapist identifies as a woman.

I voted Tory in the last election in a vain attempt to thwart a landslide by the Special Needs Party in my local area.
That was a waste of an X.

I should be a local counciller. I could kiss ̶y̶u̶m̶m̶y̶ ̶m̶u̶m̶m̶y̶s̶ babies and do fuck all else except claim expenses. I think I'll do it. Fuck this living on a pension. Thumbs Up

I must live in an ultra-posh area, I get bin collections weekly* Smile

I feel for people being frustrated by the system but not voting is not the solution. Even a spoiled ballot goes on the statistics.

I'm currently having this argument with both my mother and one of my daughters who've both resolved not to vote so it cuts across generations - a damning indictment of how low society has sunk Sad I state "a low turnout sends the message to politicians that the electorate don't care what they get up to" which neither of them has a rebuttal for but I'm still not convincing them. Maybe I should persuade them to "lend" me their postal votes, it's the tactic that works for the Residents Association running my council.

*Recycling one week then household rubbish the next. Green waste (garden clippings) and food waste is weekly though.

How about a national strike, regardless of anyones political predilections. Just the lot of us give two fingers up to the boggled eyed collection of those who mill around in the political space. Sure everything will break down but it would break them, we would see who's genuinely in it for society and the nation and who will just beetle off.

General Strike 1926. Failed

Battle of George Square Glasgow 1919 Failed.

Just after those men and women had risked their lives for their freedom and in the most cruel and brutal conflict in modern history.

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Battle_of_George_Square

They sent troops and tanks into Glasgow to fight the strikers.

I would think we need to do as Murica did years ago.
Have it written into our constipation a right to bare arms.
Only then could we take the bastirts on.

They have gunships etc.

Mass civil disobedience is the ticket.

Hopefully technological innovation can outpace the avarice of politicians.

Apparently if you want to visit the nearest dump recycling centre now you have to show some ID to prove you live within the county council borders. If not you’ll have to travel further. Bureaucratic nonsense.

Not yet, but councils are responding to the policy of their neighbours so it’s spreading.

I have to do that in Croydon. First time I visited I showed them my driving license, they gave me a little sticker that goes in the windscreen. Every subsequent visit they see the sticker and wave me through.

However, if that's the kind of thing that really grinds your gears, you must have a fucking easy life.

Whaddya mean, “once again”?

https://www.hertfordshire.gov.uk/about-the-council/news/news-archive/recycling-centres-access-2023

https://www.bishopsstortfordindependent.co.uk/news/herts-county-council-ready-to-talk-with-essex-about-recyclin-9305828/

https://www.caerphilly.gov.uk/services/household-waste-and-recycling/recycling-centres/proof-of-residency-rule-at-hwrc-sites

https://westberks.gov.uk/article/37215/Book-an-Appointment-to-Visit-a-Recycling-Centre

West Berkshire will let ‘outsiders’ visit their recycling centres for £7.

It’s the unnecessary bureaucracy that grinds my gears, and forcing people to travel further than they need to.
