After his brother being done for child pornography we now have Phillip resigning because he lied about an affair he had with another man at ITV. Nothing really untoward if it's a consensual relationship between the two of them I would have said, but this seems more than a sack cloth and ashes performance to invoke sympathy.

I wonder if he's jumped because something worse is going to be forthcoming, a bit like Wee Willie quitting. My Poarbear senses wondering if it's going to come out that this lad was underage.

whilst I met the man when he was a teenager and was asked to help him to get into television, it was only after he started to work on the show that it became more than just a friendship.

You would think these celebrities would have got the message by now that in todays day and age, if you have done something naughty, someone will dig it up sooner or later however deep you bury it.

This story was pretty common knowledge (I thought?) at the time Schofield came out; and furthermore that the lad had sold his story to the Mail and were going to out Schofield on the back of it.

Now Schofield admits he previously lied about the existence of said lad, but only did so to protect the boy's identity. I mean, really? Can't he just stop telling porkies?

My guess is that this is the root of the bad blood between him and Willoughby; she will of course have been fully aware of the situation and I suspect less than impressed. Then there was the court case involving his brother... the public statement was essentially "I've disowned him; I no longer have a brother", but only after the guilty verdict. I'm guessing that before the verdict, things may have been different, and if so, you can imagine what La Willoughby would have made of that.

If I heard Willoughby had sucked Scofield's cock (just for argument's sake, I know he doesn't bat for that team but hey, they get very drunk at these award ceremonies so let's not rule anything out) I might tut-tut but that's about it. ThoughtControl posted the original stuff back in 2020. This included the school picture, shisha bar, twitter posts and also an unfortunate encounter between a comedian running into them in the ITV canteen. All this was then removed from the internet and I had to endure Phil's grinning face every time I switched the TV on.

i'm not sure how Ste managed to dig up that twitter stuff, but LONG overdue catch-up whilst he was 15 may suggest that once again Phil is liar liar pants on fire when saying he didn't know McGreevy until he was 15.

Still, it's not like Phils lied before is it?
