I got a belated but unexpected small gift for my birthday.
The surprise was that it was exactly the sort of stuff I would have picked for myself. Not expensive, but the quirks are especially "me".

The person who sent it to me has never met me.
How strangely intuitive. Thinking

I was diligently trying to get on with singlehandedly saving the NHS when the little old lady next door phoned me up - so I ignored her, and she left me a voicemail.

Then she rapped on my front window with her walking stick (yes it is quite annoying actually ... she does it at least three times a week Brick Wall ) so I sighed heavily, disengaged myself from saving the NHS and went out the front to see what she wanted THIS time.

But it turned out it was actually lunchtime, and she had made some extra chapattis and a bowl of vegetable curry for my lunch. Embarassed

It really was very delicious.

Oh dear.
Another foodly related gear oiling moment.

I found a packet of 10 frankfurters, those Marmaris ones, in the back of the freezer. Prolly made out of schwein-arses or something.

I was looking for some lost edibles that I was hoping were back there, but I couldn't find those, but was also hungry so I got 'em out and cooked um up.

They're very delicious, and I've got little puddles of different flavoured stuff to dip them into.

Horseradish, seedy mustard, French's English, Tartare, and a li'l pile of Celery Salt.

I think I like the horseradish the best. Mr. Green Thumbs Up
Its very late at night to be eating this shit.

Our practice manager came in early the other day and went round the reception desk confiscating all the emery boards and nail files. Left them in a box for people to take home if they belonged to them.

This is still making me chuckle.

It was lovely to see you and have you over to stay. Even if I spent a week cleaning in preparation for your
arrival. Shocked Great chatting with you at length about this and that, thoroughly enjoyed feeding you cider
and cocktails and taking you out for a nice bit of munch. Thumbs Up

My eldest daughter like so many Millennials and Zoomers spends all day glued to her phone. Viewing the world through such a tiny window... but I digress. Instead of playing loads of inane games that want you to spend money for boosts, extra lives, loot boxes, etc. she's launched fully into filling in surveys, entering competitions and playing promotional faux-games.

Been at it a month so far and managed to win herself a Nintendo Switch! Turned up this morning Smile

MOTOGP sorted. 3 nights in a relatively posh caravan with a couple of mates and lots of beer/food. I have elected to sleep in the awning however, as they both snore and so do I.... The weather forecast is looking up for that weekend too, so I may even come home with a tan. Happy days.

Yesterday I went to see my sister I'd not seen for 10 years.
We're on a mini break at the seaside at the moment and my sister lives 10 mins up the road.
I wasn't sure how it would go but when I made contact before I went she was overwhelmed at the prospect.
Yeah, it went well. Smile

Spoke too soon with the weather. A mate has bought a poncho. I can't bring myself to wear an oversized condom so it'll be the traditional shorts, T plus a black bin-bag for me....

Tuning in to Antiques Road Trip on ‘Really TV’ (Channel 17) now, featuring my favourite, sexy and real (not plastic ‘reality TV’) women Catherine Southon and Izzie Balmer Wub.

I’m imagining we were the last three on Earth. Just my luck that in the event I’d be the one watching. Crying or Very sad

Might have to reconsider this ... he's been putting The Moves on me lately, even from that distance.
Tempting.

Except the chainsmoking, and the shaking hand (from the bomb thing, apparently) - always hilarious when he spills his coffee whilst putting it carefully back down on my furniture, less so when he's been for a slash *sigh*

Oh yeah and the arrogance Thinking Laughing - he's unbelieveably intelligent, and he knows it, even admits to being up himself about it.

Very tempting, though. He is quite a hotty, for a chap in his mid 60s.
At least it *might* be, as most of the time I could live here, and he could live there. I might quite like just popping over for a change of scenery and a shag-fest now and then.

But I'm getting ahead of myself, we've not got that far (yet) : it might be awful (despite my overheated late night imaginings in that respect) . Need to just "go with the flow", right and stop overthinking this.

I think I've agreed that we could spend Christmas together.
Not sure where ... Thinking
He's been suggesting it since Covid, but I've wriggled out of it each time. No excuse now.

Maybe I will push that boat out into midstream after all, and see where it takes me... I plan to let him do all the chasing.

But his name's not Dave, so he probably isn't the one, anyway.

Funny thing is, this other herbert in Salisbury has started texting me again and all now Rolling Eyes

Possibly he's realised I am somewhat more than he gave me credit for, and he was trying to draw me back in now that his last bird has departed.

I think I've managed to put him off.
He had his chance and he blew it. Rolling Eyes
His name's not Dave either, anyhow.
