Hey I passed my test (DAS) yesterday Very Happy everything went really well and only ended up with 1 minor Very Happy So now I'm dead chuffed about getting my new bike on the road Very Happy

I will now be riding a 2002 Honda CBR600F sport and I can't wait to get on the damn thing hehehe. I've bought the bike 2nd hand but there are new tyres, chain, sprokets, etc. Its already insured and I got a cracking deal of £689 (0 NCB, 22 years old, new license), just need to wait for the cover letter so I can get tax as well Very Happy

I was just wondering what the Dunlop D207 tyres that are on the bike are like? Are they any good in the wet? grip? Also this will be my first time on a big bike with new tyres, so what can I expect while running them in? I know I have to take it easy for the first 100 or so miles.

Anyway Will be posting up pics of the bike in a few days when its fully on the road.

Kev

Well done! On the subject of tyres, I'd hope you'd be taking it fairly easy to start with on a newish 600 anyway Wink

Congrats on the pass.

The D207's were standard fitment for quite a while, now quite an old tyre. They are ok, no probs really, a bit slow steering and perhaps not as controlled as the newer sports tyres that are knocking round. They are fairly neutral and shouldn't give you any worries really. Will be fine in the wet just be smooth.

The good thing come tyre change time is picking something nice from all the goodies on offer and seeing how they compare.
