A brand new complete engine is £350 I think. A top end rebuild is about £150 in spares, bottom end I am not sure really, depends what is broken.

Hi

Suspect a brand new engine from Honda would be hideously expensive.

Parts for a top end rebuild are not much over £100 from David Silver spares but probably double that from Honda.

Why do you think it needs rebuilding?

All the best

Keith

Its just cost me £167 from David Silver for a pot and piston, gaskets, gudgeon pin, rings, circlips, power valve dust seal and a small end bearing for my '99 NSR. It would have been a bit cheaper but I opted to have my parts in a fortnight rather than wait a couple of months for them to get the stock in. I think that this is still around 25% cheaper than ordering from a Honda dealer. Thumbs Up

I don't suspect it needs a rebuild, just wanted to know if ever it came to it. But it has done about 8000 miles now so maybe it would need one sometime soon?
