Usually just mildly peeved that people on this housing estate park cars and work vans on the circular main road instead of on driveways or outside their own houses, and always close to junctions. However this evening there’s a highways truck carrying cones, and a flippin’ bus.

OK....

I've been buying from amazon and ebay for donkey's years.

I have never had an ebay item delivered by amazon.

Plenty means?

I don't have the patience or concerned enough to deep dig this phenomenon but it could be related to drop shipping through amazon prime or something.

(Don't you go cunfuzing that with 'Optimate Prime' now.)

Amazon have a thing where you pay them a percentage, they hold your pallet of for example back scratchers in one
of their fulfilment centres and you use their delivery network to get it to the customer. But once you've done that you
can advertise the same item elsewhere, somewhere like ebay and when an order comes in via them you can use the
Amazon held stock to fulfil the ebay order just the same by "purchasing" one from your own amazon account
but sending (using your own prime subscription) to the address given on your ebay order. I think selling stuff like
this is called drop shipping. It means you need no premises, you don't have 5000 back scratchers in your spare room,
someone else puts it in a box which Amazon of course supply, using a picker and packer that amazon pay. And it gets
there super fast using Amazon's quicker than Royal Mail delivery service. All you need is a laptop and you get a sale
and your bit of profit without ever even seeing the product with your own eyes. You mark the product as a gift so there's
no invoice inside. Returns if necessary, are handled the same way but in reverse. It's a numbers game but if you can be
bothered you can potentially make a bundle of cash doing this. Especially if you source your stock by the pallet via
somewhere cheap with a low piece rate like Ali Express.

Getting hit in the face by a meathead at a gig last night. Apparently he thought someone behind him was flicking beer at the back of his head. Turns out he was standing under an air conditioning duct and condensation was dripping... I was closest to him so he thought it was me. I won't press charges as I don't want my folks to have the hassle of statements, court etc and the venue doesn't need that sort of publicity. May wasps nest in his arsehole....

My second venture into Facebook Marketplace confirms it’s a 50:50 split of genuinely nice buyers and chancers. On the chancers-side some bloke in South Carolina wants to buy my lawnmower, a foreign gentleman is angling for my bank details because his cousin wants to buy, and another has offered to trade whatever he’s offering with additional cash but I’d have to click on the dodgy link. Then there’s the ‘entrepreneurs’ who imagine they can negotiate a discount on an item already priced to sell so they can make a small profit. I just want to flog some unused stuff cheap to someone who’ll appreciate it and make some space!

Pepsi added to my Boycott/Block list of idiot companies/products.

I spat the dummy out a couple of weeks back over sweeteners in Pepsi.

I assumed it was an error on my part that I'd bought the wrong formula.

It appears not.

I got a can today and soon as I tasted it I got that chemical sweet tates.

Pepsi Bastirts.

Once had someone swing a bottle at my head under similar circumstances except it was for someone flicking his birds bra strap (someone was, it just wasn't me). Fortunately I was able to do some Bruce-Lee level swaying out of the way so I just felt the breeze of it on the way past. Immediately before he disappeared under a pile of bouncers. The sounds of him falling down the stairs they don't have followed him off the dancefloor.

Double justice that night because the dickhead in the group I was with who had been doing the bra strap pinging landed up in A&E later in the night with his nose laminated across his face for dickheading too hard at someone else. Bottle swinger was apparently sat two rows down also holding ice on his face.

Ordered parts from the States. But been stuck since the 10th at a status that I can only imagine that means it is now lost between the scanning processes between local and more major sorting offices. As far as It has to be lost in transit. Crying or Very sad

The Italian shrink is doing my nut in.
He's been proper dicking me around all summer (worse than he usually does) with appointments on and off and different dates, half days, being on holiday, clinics cancelled at the last minute, etc.

Fortunately it's the end of the month and I am about to send him my August invoice - that should wake him up a bit - at least it will cheer me up.
Mr. Green Thumbs Up

Thing is, I actually quite like doing it.

It's been a bit chaotic since they (he, wife, 4 kids, 2 dogs) decided to move back to Italy and now four days before he's due to come back here for face to face clinics, he's lost his bloody passport Rolling Eyes

I tend to be his ground anchor - but only on the private patient side : he pays for the privilege, believe me.

But actually, he has a very extensive and interesting patient list - and he's really very nice: charming and super intelligent. Once he gets his life in Italy straightened back out, things will be fine *fingers crossed* (I keep telling myself, LOL)

But sometimes he's just more ... Italian ... (i.e. infuriating) than other times.

If I have to cancel these patients (again) I will charge him a whole extra day's work Brick Wall
What I'd charge him for a day, he charges for half an hour.

Great weather this weekend, chores done, a few tinnies in the garden. What's not to love? Until that is the neighbour's lad comes round in a frock and asks to be called Harriet. Fair enough we thought, until he went back next door and proceeded to try to cut his cock of with a pair of scissors... That got the curtains twitching on the cul-de-sac!

FItted a tyre to the 18" rim for my trials bike today. Usual hot sweaty mess by the time I got it on. That's normal though, not what ground my gears.

What really annoys me is when you buy parts for on a bike that are unfit for the use they are sold for. They clearly made the thing -possibly based on a picture of a proper one- but have never attempted to fit it to an actual motorcycle and test it because if they had, they'd see it doesn't work. Wassel are particularly bad for this kind of shit. In this instance, I've fitted a rimlock. Supplied as specific for this size of tyre. Can you see the problem?

https://lh3.googleusercontent.com/pw/AIL4fc9E72lBtj22GvF4w1B1b8GKeF0Ljki6CCQki9p9VjI80Gn7olHHmf_Ph9AciIFKiWIPMs2j6NbMvCfw9mdRZYH1WuAGaGVrVgRZCY6rQIghsoAxT6jV7JLeVMpbhW1QaYiEUVk2e9hN9B2LuxkHLRz_=w1547-h870-s-no

It's going to be hard to clamp that down against the rim with the thread stopping short. It's a pretty chunky tyre bead and a steel rim so it's not like I have a skinny setup here either. I'd send it back as unfit for the purpose intended but that would mean dismounting the tyre again so I've just made a spacer. Fitted a locknut too because I'm uncomfortable with that just being held on with one nut.

The little old lady next door is concerned about me cheering (quite vociferously, admittedly Shifty ) when someone (anyone) scores a try in my current bout of constant rugby-watching - as she can hear it through our joint wall.

Oh.
Is that right?

Well, thinks me ... I don't remember complaining to you when you parked your husband's hospital bed on the wall right beside my telly and I could hear him groaning all the way into his coffin for the last six months of the poor bastard's life.

FFS Brick Wall Brick Wall

Maybe her son can ask the builders that they have so kindly advised me will be knocking down the garden wall and making a lot of noise with PNEUMATIC DRILLS in my back garden for the next couple of weeks, to soundproof her living room for her whilst they are there Rolling Eyes

(or is it mine that needs soundproofing, so she can't heara me?) Thinking oh well, fuck it.

How's that going to prevent my tubed tyre rotating on the rim?

I don't get them for years, and then suddenly i'm so very lucky. Laughing
