My MT09 did just over 3k in 6 years of ownership although admittedly I had 3 years where I couldn't use it because
it was stored somewhere I wasn't able to access it. I've done 1500 or so miles of just local blatting round pubs on the
MT10 since its purchase last November. It's such a nice bike to ride and a real Jekyll and Hyde machine. It's just as
happy on a bimble as it is on a mortality test. ____________________ Currently enjoying products from Ford, Mazda and Yamaha

In my first year of biking I put about 18,000 miles on two bikes, in the second year I don't think I even did 3,000 ____________________ PRESENT: 2018 BMW S1000XR SE Sport.

My bike had only done 13k miles in 12 years when I bought it. I've added 8k in eighteen months. ____________________ Suzuki Bandit 1250

Most of my miles were commuting. A few non-work trips, but not many sunny day blasts.
This is across two bike, but the majority on the CBF1000 mile muncher.
Miles by year based on my fuel logs since 2012:
2013 - 15361
2014 - 13133
2015 - 13935
2016 - 12169
2017 - 15264
2018 - 11383
2019 - 11471
2020 - 9373
2021 - 269
2022 - 2460
2023 - 3545
My work started offering more work from home days in 2017 hence the miles dropped off a bit... not sure what happened in 2021. Anyone remember?
Now I tend to commute just 2 days a week.
I love that lots of people don't use their bikes. I'm looking for a replacement for the geriatric CBF and there are some great low mileage options. ____________________ 2016 CBF1000F - Commuter heaven | 1994 CBR600FR - Awaiting defibrillation |

My mileage is much more erratic these days.
I more than doubled the mileage on the Harley since I bought it (from 13000 to 30000+) but this year I've not ridden it since March
But lately - even though the Suzuki goes like stink, I'm just in a bit of a funk...meh. ____________________ Not nearly as interesting in real life. |

But so what? I don't commute, and also own a car, so pretty much every mile I ride is for my personal enjoyment. That's over 10,000 miles so far this year. |
I didn't mean it as a bad thing. Actually I'm jealous of anyone who finds the time to go out on the bike just for fun, when I can no longer even commute on the bike. I hate commuting in the car, no spaces are around when I get to my destination for a start...
My five bikes kinda just sit around as of 13 months ago. As do my other two cars. ____________________ CBT: 12/06/10, Theory: 22/09/10, Module 1: 09/11/10, Module 2: 19/01/11

I commuted in the car Monday due to stormy weather - got stuck in traffic. home 90 mins late . Bike the rest of the week. Home in 25 mins each day despite worse traffic. Commuting and fun are not mutually exclusive |
That's true- but the upshot here is, at least you rode your bike! ____________________ CBT: 12/06/10, Theory: 22/09/10, Module 1: 09/11/10, Module 2: 19/01/11
